Welcome back to the Lawro Audit after an international break. After three weeks of English Premiership action, the top of the table already has an eerily familiar feel to it, with Manchester City and Manchester United being split by Chelsea, with all three sides undefeated so far this season, and all with three wins. It’s all going to change this week, though, as Manchester United host Manchester City in the weekend’s early kick-off. Chelsea have a winnable game away to Swansea, and could end the weekend top of the English Premiership if the early kick-off goes their way. And, in theory, the undefeated Everton could still finish the week at the top of the league if they can run up a big win over Sunderland and the other results go their way.

But, more importantly, how did Mark Lawrenson get on last week? Well, amazingly, Lawro managed to find eight winners out of ten matches, and he also managed to get two correct scores right, in the Spurs game and the Southampton game. It was like some kind of early season miracle, and I can only hope that he’s not peaked too early, as this is a marathon, not a sprint. Sure, as usual, a lot of Lawro’s wins were short-priced winners, but he still managed to make a profit of +13.35 units, which takes his season total to +7.55 units. So, for all the doubters of Lawro’s amazing and often spooky prediction abilities, take notice, because things are only going to get better. Or spectacularly worse. Just keep on coming back to find out which way it goes.

The Bore Draw promotion is still going strong this season over at Bet365. Remember, if you place a bet of up to on any of the correct score, half-time/full-time or scorecast markets, and the game finishes 0-0, Bet365 will refund your money. So if neither side in the Manchester derby can find the back of the note, you’ll get your money back, which is always a huge plus.

I mentioned that Lawro still needs to get the feel for the mid-table teams and I have to say that there’s one prediction that sticks out for me here – Crystal Palace to beat Middlesbrough 2-0. It’s a bit of a bold prediction, considering Crystal Palace haven’t shown much in the first few weeks of the season, while Middlesbrough haven’t been too bad, and with home advantage, the prediction just looks a bit weird to me. Still, if his prediction comes up, it’s a huge price and we’ll be singing his praises all weekend. Elsewhere, it’s normal service resumed, although he is sticking his neck out a little not going for the draw in the Manchester derby, which is what I expected him to go for. No surprise he went for Liverpool in the day’s other big game, either. That being said, I don’t blame him, as Leicester just might be there for the taking.
