Lawro Audit 2: EPL Week 6

Fans of the Lawro Audit know I like to open with something about the week’s football, and there’s only one thing on my mind right now, and that is Manchester United and Jose Mourinho. What is wrong in the red half of Manchester? They didn’t even look good against Northampton Town in the EFL Cup midweek, so what can they do? Pogba is struggling to find his feet, although it’s still early days, and Zlatan is blowing hot and cold. The only bright light is Marcus Rashford, who looks to have a big future ahead of him. The rest of the team? Well, they could all be fighting for their places come January. I mean, they shouldn’t be losing to Watford, never mind losing 3-1. Everyone, including myself, had high hopes for them during the pre-season, but Manchester City have already started to pull away from their main rivals and Manchester United just don’t look like they have it in them to close that gap. So, definitely not a great week for the Red Devils.

Not a great week for Mark Lawrenson last week, either. He did manage to get seven correct results, but most of them were odds-on bankers, which does us no favours, and he correctly predicted zero correct scores. Are you shocked? Of course not. So, he ended up with a weekly loss of -7.30 units which takes Lawro’s loss to an even greater -12.96 units. So, we’re now five weeks into the English Premiership season, and Lawro has so far only had one winning week. I mean, it’s not looking good, is it? He needs a big week soon to get us back on track, or else our losses are going to start spiralling out of control, and I couldn’t cope with that before his first FA Cup predictions, that’s for sure.

Lawro Audit fans, you come here every week and every week I promoe the same old thing. Yes, Bet365’s Bore Draw promotion is available to you over at Bet365. So, there’s a few big prices selected there by Mark Lawrenson and his predictions. I mean, if he has a few 11/1 shots in the correct scores, and hasn’t been put off by West Ham’s poor home form, which is interesting. He’s showing some faith in Manchester United, which is surprising, although Leicester have struggled at times this season, although just as much as Manchester United have, so it’s a real coin-flip there, in my opinion. Nice to see he’s sitting on the fence for the weekend’s big game, Arsenal vs Chelsea, too. Chelsea are struggling to get any kind of run together, while Arsenal seem to be playing their usual brand of football, and at the Emirates, surely the Arsenal win is the right selection? But then what do I know? I’m not the former professional footballer and well-paid pundit, am I? So stick with Lawro.
