May is a big month in sports with the MLB season in full swing, as well as the Champions League, the NBA playoffs and the NHL playoffs getting down to the finals.

This is also a big month for horse racing with two of the events in horse racing’s Triple Crown taking place this month. Sports fans should also be expected for one of tennis’ Grand Slam events: the French Open.

We have a lot to get to this month so here is the complete schedule for May 2018.

Baseball:

The MLB season is in full swing. One big series to look forward to in May is the Yankees traveling south to face the Astros. These are two of the best teams in all of baseball and last year they had an amazing American League Championship Series. It seems likely we could see that same match-up again this year so this will be a fun preview.

Basketball:

A big month for the NBA as the Cconference Semifinals will begin right at the beginning of the month, followed by the Conference Finals between the 13th and 16th and then teh Finals starting on May 31st.

The NBA also holds the Draft Lottery on May 15th. With so many teams vying for the top pick this year, this should be very interesting to see.

Boxing:

Golf:

The warmer weather means more golf events. There are some great gofl events this month highlighted by the US Women’s Open and the PLAYERS Championship.

The NHL Playoffs will be in full swing with the Conference Semifinals, Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Final all scheduled to start this month.

Horse Racing:

The Triple Crown beings with the Kentucky Derby at the Churchill Downs on May 5th followed by the Preakness Stakes at Pimilco on May 19th.
