October is a huge month for sports as the MLB World Series playoffs begin along with the NBA and NHL seasons playing their first official games of the year.
The World Series is the big highlight as the entire playoffs will be within the month of October. The Red Sox and Astros are the favorites in the American League while the Dodgers and Cubs are favored in the National League. There are a lot of young teams that could make their mark this postseason as well so this should be exciting.
There’s been a ton of changes to the NBA with Kawhi Leonard going to Toronto and LeBron James going to the Lakers, but the favorites are still the Golden State Warriors. They are one of the best teams ever and will look for their fourth title in five years.
We’ll also see the return of the NHL. Hopefully, Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals have stopped partying since their Cup win and are ready to defend.
