September is definitely a transitional month when it comes to sports as the summer sports come to an end and the winter sports start to get going.

The big news for September is the start of the NFL season. The Patriots are once again favorites by Vegas while the defending champion Eagles are at 10-1. The Vikings, Steelers and Rams are all also at 10-1 which has to feel good for their fans.

We’ll also see the end of the MLB season take place in September as teams jockey for position in the race to the World Series. The PGA Tour also comes to an end with the end of the FedEx Cup series and the Ryder Cup taking place this month.

There is a lot to get to this month so let’s take a look at all the events for September 2018 below.

Baseball:

The World Series is right around the corner as the MLB season finished up on September 30th. On this day every game will start at the exact same time so any playoff races that need the final game to decide will happen simultaneously.

Basketball:

The NBA season is upon us as training camp starts up towards the end of the month. The Warriors once again enter the season as huge favorites to win the championship while all eyes will be on LeBron James in his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Are you ready for some football? The NFL season’s week one kicks off on September 6th with the Atlanta Falcons taking on the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles.

We’ll also see the start of the college football season at the end of August and some big games in September. A few that stand out early are:

September sees the end of the tennis season as the final Grand Slam event, the US Open, will finish on September 9th.

Wrestling:

The biggest wrestling event of the month is All-In, the largest independent wrestling show in history with a 10,000 seat sell-out. The show will be headlined by the biggest stars outside of WWE in the Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega.

WWE comes to us with a live event with Hell in a Cell from San Antonio, Texas. The event always features the famous match that sees the participants in a cage with a lid.

September will also see Ring of Honor return to pay-per-view with Death Before Dishonor XVI, live from Las Vegas, Nevada.
