We’re getting to the business end of the season for many sports, with the NBA and NHL playoff pictures becoming clearer by the day. The soccer season is coming to an end soon, too, again with the leagues taking shape and European places solidifying. But the good news is that spring training is finished in the MLB, so we’ve got that to look forward to shortly.

Not the greatest day yesterday, and the English Premiership gave us to absolute shocking games. Burnley vs Tottenham must be a candidate for one of the worst games of the season, surely. It wasn’t a great advert for either side, nor the Premiership in general. With Real Madrid scoring 9 goals of their own on Sunday, the fact neither side, and Sunderland and Newcastle could only muster 1 between the four of them sums up the lacklustre action.

Still, enough of the moaning, as hopefully Crystal Palace and Manchester City will deliver some action. And with that in mind, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for April 6th, 2015.

NBA Betting Tip for 6th April

Only one game in the NBA tonight, with Portland travelling to Brooklyn.

Portland vs Brooklyn.

A rescheduled game, with Portland travelling the length of the country just to face the Nets in an important game for both sides. The Blazers will be looking to secure home court advantage, while the Nets are going to be looking to solidify a seventh seed in the playoffs. The bookies have factored in the huge journey for Portland into their price, with Brooklyn being a short price to win this. The Nets have been playing good ball, but the Blazers have been looking like Championship contenders, with three back-to-back wins on the road showing they’re real contenders. While the bookies are right that the journey is a long one for one game, the Blazers are dominant over the Nets this season, and must be full of confidence at the moment, while the Nets are stopping and starting at the end of this season. Portland to win at around 5/2 is a huge price, and is surely the value of the match. They have to win once in every three visits for this to be value, and since they’re 10 from 13 this season over Brooklyn, we have to get on.

NHL Betting Tips for 6th April

Los Angeles vs Vancouver

The Kings haven’t look assured of defending the Stanley Cup this season, sitting in the Wild Card sports, which isn’t where many thought they would have been at the start of the season. It’s not that they haven’t been playing well, but they’ve been inconsistent against sides like Vancouver. The Canucks have been similar in terms of form, hitting decent winning runs, then going on losing runs that have done their season no favours. Yes, they’re sitting comfortable in the playoff picture, but they are in the middle of a dry patch at home, losing the last two. It’s hard to split the sides, but the Kings’ defense has been solid of late, and Vancouver haven’t been banging the goals in. The Kings look value, so take, Los Angeles to win as the value pick here.

Columbus vs New York

It’s a shame the season is over for the Blue Jackets, as they’ve been playing well at the end of the season. However, the Rangers are quite possibly the form side of the competition, and have look almost unstoppable at times. The Rangers’ 6-1 win over the Devils emphasised just how good they are. Rangers have won 2 out of three against Columbus this season, but that isn’t to say they’re going to do so again. The price for a New York win is far too skinny for it to be of any interest, especially as Columbus could give them a real fight. However, over 5.5 goals is definite worth a look, because on paper this looks to be a high-scoring, exciting game.
