Welcome to the Sports Betting Tips for January 14th, 2015.

We have got quite the mix of betting tips for you tonight, with golf, NBA AND NHL all up on the boards.

We will get to that in just a second.

Yesterday we analyzed every NHL game and if you followed every tip – well you did rather well! We correctly tipped the Boston Bruins over the Lightning. While we lost the Over 5.5 in the Red Wings vs Sabres and Battle of New York, we had a nice big win with the Penguins -1.5.

We also correctly tipped the Hurricanes to beat the Avalanche, and at a great price had the Oilers/Blues Over 5.5 goals. We also correctly tipped the Nashville Predators AND the Winnipeg Jets.

We said to stay clear of Stars vs Senators and that was the right call. Sens were up 3-1 and then Stars scored 4 goals in the 2nd, and that was just one of those crazy games that we’re glad we couldn’t predict and decided to stay away.

Let’s get on board with tonights betting tips:

Golf Betting Tips:

First up, we have the PGA Tour, as we tackle the Sony Open. Last week we had a great winner here on Hideki Matsuyama as the Top Asian golfer, and we’ll go back to betting him again this week. When he is on form like he is now – you simply blindly bet the dude. Take him E/W at 20/1.

We’re also going to go with Charles Howell III. A lot of the media are already making the “old man” references to him and we hope he has a lot to prove and will come out swinging on a course that he is very knowledgeable of. Take him E/W at 35/1.

Finally we’ll go with Russell Henley. Always inconsistent, he’s got a bit of form going at the moment and we hope he will continue that.

Now it’s onto the European Tour, and in particular the Abu Dhabi Golf Championships.

We have two betting tips for this one, then a bit of fun advice.

First of all go with Charl Schwartzel. 33/1 is a nice price and he’s got the capabilities to shoot a 64 on this course. He’s did it before and remained consistent here and has a great chance of doing it again.

Next up is George Coetzee. 60/1 is a huge price considering his record on this course. Get on that.

Finally – this course the last few years boasts money winners from 66/1 all the way up to 150/1. So we recommend taking some cash and blindly betting 4 golfers in the Top 5 at those odds because why the hell not? We’ve went with Ernie Els, Gregory BOurdy, David Drysdale and Romain Wattel.

NHL Betting Tips:

4 games tonight, but only one betting tip as we will go with the Washington Capitals -1.5.

A huge price of 2.60 which is beautiful considering the way the Capitals are playing, especially at home. The recent line changes made at the start of the year are paying off big time, and we like them to continue the pressure tonight.

NBA Betting Tips:

In the NBA we have two betting tips for you.

The first one is Rockets -9. With Dwight Howard underperforming the Rockets are still playing some amazing ball. This is a great game for him to get motivated, and we think that’s what will happen. Regardless, Harden is on fire at the moment and after the issues with Garnett we think Howard will be fired up and ready to play some ball.

The final NBA tip for tonight is Hawks -7. Taking on the Boston Celtics, they rested Teague, Millsap and Carroll and those three are now back. With their bench doing the business as well, the Hawks are quite simply a top team at the moment and are scary to watch.
