We are now just one win away from the Capitals being crowned Stanley Cup champions. It’s questionable to think whether the Golden Knights still have some fight in them. They haven’t dealt with much adversity in these playoffs and they definitely haven’t as a franchise, obviously. The Caps won big 6-2 yesterday with game five coming our way on Thursday.

The NBA Finals are 2-0 with things heading to Cleveland. The chances of the Cavs coming back are not great and it looks like those Finals will also be over shortly. The time to start focusing on other sports is now. They are coming faster than you think.

Today we have some WNBA action as well as a full slate of baseball action. Let’s get right into the tips.

WNBA Betting Tips:

The Connecticut Sun are hotter than the… well, you know. They are beating everyone right now and have a 5-0 record with a 4-1 record against the spread. Tonight they face the Atlanta Dream on the road who are having some serious issues with offense of late. The dream are shooting just 37.5% on the year with only 75 points per game. Compare that to the Sun who are scoring 97.4 per game and shooting 50% from the field, 40% from three and this one could get ugly. This is a great game to take the Sun -7.5 as I think this line should be much higher.

MLB Betting Tips:

The Rays have a .721 OPS against righties on the year, but that number is being carried a lot by the on-base percentage as the slugging is a bit low. Here’s the thing, they aren’t getting on base a ton today against Max Scherzer. This guy is pretty much the most dominating thing in baseball right now and I love him to shut down this offense. The Rays send Nathan Eovaldi and he should have trouble with this Nats offense. This is a great spot to lay the runs and take the Nationals -1.5.

Baltimore sends Alex Cobb to the mound today who has had some real trouble this season, he goes against a Mets offense that has been great against righties with a .743 OPS on the year. This could be yet another bad one for the sad sack Orioles. I do, however, like their offense today. Jason Vargas has an ugly 8.53 ERA/5.80 FIP on the year and he could be a nice wake-up call for the Orioles. This is a nice over 8.5 play.

Tonight is a big night for the Giants as Madison Bumgarner makes his return from the DL. The Giants got a big win last night and this one should give them an emotional boost as well. I love the match-up against Patrick Corbin as well as he’s had a real velocity drop over his past several starts and has struggled mightily at times. The Giants offense always plays better at home and is clicking right now. I’m taking the Giants -140 tonight and a happy return for MadBum.
