UFC 202 is quite the interesting PPV, featuring Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz as the main event.

For casual fans it’s really a 3 fight show with the headliner, Anthony Johnson vs Glover Teixeira and then the Cerrone fight. And based on the casual fans I’ve spoken to they don’t even know who Cerrone is fighting. All they know is “Cerrone fight” and that’s all that matters.

Should be a good card though. Let’s get to the free UFC 202 betting tips.

McGregor vs Diaz Betting Tips: Let me tell you straight up – I love Conor McGregor and I am betting Nate Diaz to win. It’s not that it’s a great price or anything but I love Conor so much that if he wins I’m happy to lose a couple of betting units. While if he loses, well at least I’ve made some money.

In terms of betting tips though I’d recommend McGregor. My reasoning is basically that Conor wanted this fight. He believes in this fight, he believes he can win, he believes in the trilogy. Conor isn’t an idiot. He knows how bad it would be for him if he lost here. Despite what he says he isn’t someone who would let his ego get in the way. I’d recommend a bet on Conor McGregor.

Anthony Johnson vs Glover Teixeira Betting Tips: Rumble is a big favourite at -200 approximately over Glover. While I agree Rumble is the better fighter I don’t thin khe will control Glover like Davis and Jones both did. I can see this being an all out brawl and I have to go with the heavyweight rules here based on how hard these guys hit – back Glover to win at those odds due to the ability to KO Johnson with one punch.

Donald Cerrone vs Rick Story Betting Tips: Story is just a slight underdog against Cerrrone. Cerrone is always hard to bet because you never know which “Cowboy” is going to show up. I’d advise staying away from this one. Too many variables.

UFC 202 Prelims Betting Tips:

Artem Lobov vs Chris Avila: These two are fairly even odds wise. With Lobov being a teammate of McGregor however this should have a good crowd reaction. I just haven’t been impressed with Lobov lately. You have to figure if he loses this he is out and I wonder if that pressure will get to him. Avila is a very tricky fighter. I think the odds are about right but I do think Chris Avila should be a slight favourite as I think he is just the better fighter and hopefully this fight isn’t too big for hm at this early stage of his career. Avila to win.

Randa Markos vs Courtney Casey: This should be a really fun fight actually. I’m looking forward to it. These two will be going at it very strong. I’m going to go with Randa Markos to win however. While she’s struggled a fair bit after TUF, she’s still a solid fighter and I like what I’ve been hearing lately – she seems fairly confident. As long as she can remain calm against Courtney she should honestly be able to pick her off at ease. I love Casey but she comes out flying and very aggressive and this is Randas fight to lose.
