When the Euro 2012 schedules were announced, I can just imagine the reaction from the Dutch camp. An easy win over Denmark, and then a “we’ll take what we can get” game against Germany, before their real match against Portugal.
What a difference 90 minutes make.
Holland now find themselves in a must-win scenario…or at the very least, they need to pick up a point. A loss, and Hollands Euro 2012 is practically over. Lets look at the odds for Holland vs Germany:
Personally, I think this is a very easy bet to make. I really like the odds of Germany, who I believe should be evens or better. Against Portugal, we saw a calm and collected Germany team. They take their time, and always play with the 4-2-3-1, but making slight tactical changes depending on the opposition. Against Portugal for example, we saw the full backs sitting a lot deeper than usual. Germany were also happy to concede corners(11!) with the confidence that they would win every ball.
Germany can generally attack from anywhere. What really stands out for them is Mario Gomez – having a top quality striker like that – someone who can get on the end of the crosses – is crucial. They can also build attacks from anywhere, and Gomez is just that cherry on the top that really makes Germany stand out.
Holland meanwhile, weren’t as bad as the result made out. They created chances, and finishing was the one problem here. They had 28 attempts on goal overall. But this is going to be a different Dutch team – this is going to be a frantic Holland who are stressing because they KNOW they need to get something out of this game. This is not the type of game for Robben and Van Persie, coming off the back of their previous performances.
I really think there is great value in the Germany win
I also really like betting the over on the corners market. The corners market should be 10-11. Netherlands had 11 corners against Denmark, while Germany conceded 11 corners against Portugal. That one is worth a punt

Germany vs Netherlands Live Betting Odds:
Germany are the favourites for this game, but it’s going to be close. Honestly, I see most value in the draw for this one.
Germany will beat Denmark I’m sure – and if Holland can beat Portugal, then this is going to be a very tight game that neither team will want to lose.
Based on that, I think the DRAW is the best option here. Of course this may change depending on the opening Group B results – but I feel fairly confident that the DRAW is the best Holland vs Germany betting tip.
If you like the draw, then betting the draw-draw for half-time/full-time is fairly solid at 4/1 That’s quite a good price.
Once the Group B opening games have taken place though, we will know where we stand and I will have additional Holland vs Germany Betting Picks based on the opening results.
