Euro 2020 qualifying matches are taking place from Thursday onwards, so I’ll start covering them tomorrow.
For Wedneday, October 9th there’s not too much action going on. So we’ll look at the Brazilian action taking place. A lot of games in Serie A.
We went 1-1 for a profit with our Brazilian Serie B tips yesterday. A 2u play on CRB and Sport Recife both to score came in. That wasn’t too difficult and was in by the 68th minute in a 1-1 draw. I said I was tempted by the draw too there.
We had a 1u loss in the Vila Nova game. backed them to win but they were dominated early and it was a big win for Sao Bento.
Gremio vs Ceara Betting Tips:
Gremio have been one of the most on form teams in Serie A lately. They have hit a slight rough patch with their undefeated streak ending, and lost 2-1 to relegation battlers Fluminense, and the ndrew with Corinthians.
I like them to get back on track here against 16th placed Ceara however. I think they just got a bit complacent and they will go back to battering teams. Not only were they winning games but they won by some large margins at times and beat some decent teams in there. That 3-0 win over Goias for example. Or that 2-1 win over Atletico PR.
Ceara are struggling to score with just 1 goal in their last 5 games. Gremio have a lethal offense and I like them to score a few goals here.

Santos vs Palmeiras Betting Tips:
Top of the table clash between these teams. Santos are in third place while Palmeiras are in 2nd place.
Santos come into this one on the back of a 3 game unbeaten streak, and some solid defensive performances with two clean sheets in a row. In saying that it was against Vasco da Gama and CSA who don’t have the greatest offenses.
Palmeiras are riding a strong 7 game unbeaten streak although they have stuttered somewhat lately with two draws. Their away form overall isn’t bad as they are able to grind out the results.
It’s an extremely even match looking at the odds. Santos are 2.70, and Palmeiras are 2.80.
Palmeiras have been excellent at getting draws against the top teams and I think that will continue. The most common result for them is a 1-1 draw. I wanted to do a speculative bet on that one but the odds just aren’t there. 5.50 odds for a correct score bet is no fun. So we’ll just combine two bets based on that hoping at least one pans out.
