1-1 record last night.

We get the win with the 76ers -5.5 as they blew out the Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis has been a really fun team this season, but that Sixers defense is smothering when it’s on. It was absolutely smothering in the second and third quarters when they held Memphis to just 41 total points as they Sixers scored 71. The fourth quarter saw a huge Memphis comeback against the bench units, but it was never going to be enough. Ben Simmons had 22 points and 10 assists while Furkan Korkmaz lead the with 34 points off the bench.

Our loss was the Pacers at home against the Raptors. They had played the Raptors really good the last couple of times out, but this one was all Raptors. Indiana had a tough shooting night from three as the Raps made 7 more than them and that about decided it. Toronto had six different players score 16 or more with Serge Ibaka leading the way with 22.

Milwaukee and the Lakers didn’t do anything at the trade deadline, but it looks like both are going to get upgrades outside of that. The Bucks are picking up Marvin Williams via the buyout market. The Lakers are set to get JR Smith and possibly Darren Collison, both of whom were not signed with a team prior to this.

Dallas Mavericks at Charlotte Hornets Betting Tips:

The Mavericks have lost two straight as the struggles without Luka Doncic are starting to show. They get a great chance to get things back on track tonight against the lowly Hornets.

The Hornets have lost twelve out of their last thirteen games and feel like they are fully in draft pick mode. There is just not a lot about this team that excites me while the Mavericks are well coached and have more talent.

Kristaps Porzingis has been getting stronger as the season progresses and has looked real good in some of these games without Doncic. He broke his nose last week, but I think he’ll be playing here as he is a Latvian warrior. While Tim Hardaway Jr. definitely seems to have found his spot in the league here in Dallas. The Mavericks are one of the better road teams in the NBA and are 10-3 as a road favorite this year. There is really no good reason not to take them here as I think they dominate this one.

New Orleans Pelicans at Indiana Pacers Betting Tips:

This is Indiana’s third game in four nights and the second half of a back-to-back. They are at home so it’s not quite schedule hell, but it is a tough run. Plus, I don’t really like what I am seeing from this team of late. The Oladipo thing is really messing with them as he is still on a minutes restriction, but he’s absolutely a key part of the offense when he’s in there.

New Orleans is a team I just love betting on. Their offense is really something special as they are 4-2 over their past six and all four wins saw them score 123 or more. That’s a big time offense and they make other teams play their game.

Based on that offensive profile, this total is set pretty low. The Pacers aren’t quite on that level offensively, but they aren’t bad by any means and I think this is a great spot to grab the over.

Los Angeles Clippers at Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Tips:

The Clippers are one of the best teams in the NBA while Wolves have lost 13 straight games. That’s it, that’s the whole tip.

Minnesota traded away Andrew Wiggins for D’Angelo Russel and it doesn’t look like he’s going to play tonight so I am not really sure what to expect from Minnesota here. Probably nothing, they are bad.

The Clippers are reasonably well rested and Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are going to play. That’s all I need to know to go two units on this one.

Bet Clippers -8.5 for 2 units
