Welcome to Wednesday, February 15th.

Today I’m going to cover the golf – we’ve got the Genesis Open and the ISPS Handa World Super 6. Which I’m just going to call the Super 6 from now on because bloody hell it takes awhile to type!

So first up is the Genesis Open. This is an interesting one because from a viewing perspective I’m really pumped to watch it. But from a betting perspective not so much.

We’ve got a LOT of hot contenders for this one and we’ve got a lot of players who are playing some bloody good golf at the moment. Spieth is coming in on form for example. Day looks like he’s getting hot, and Snedeker is in fine form.

I’m going to go with one of the top guys – Dustin Johnson and I’ll take him straight up to win. He handles this course well and he’s on fire and should be a contender. However to show how difficult it can be I’m only betting the quarter unit.

This is going to be a good one.

In the Super 6 this bloody thing is a mess. I mean again from a viewing perspective it should be quite good but with the stroke/match play combo I’m at a loss for bets.

From a betting perspective I’m just betting this one for fun. I’ve got 5 small bets which are Jake McLeod, Peter Uihlein, Louis Oosthuizen, Gregory Bourdy and Brett Rumford. All of them are to win and E/W.

In the Chubb Classiv I’ve got the same bet on Scott Dunlap.

That’s it for the golf let’s look at todays hockey:

NHL Picks for February 15th, 2017

Leafs vs Jackets Bet: The Leafs are coming in with momentum high on a back to back. Their record is very mixed when it comes to back to backs. Jackets are off form at the moment and had that tough loss to the Rangers. With the over/under being 6 I’d recommend Under 6. I don’t know if Leafs will have the energy and I see a much tighter game from the Jackets. Leafs at 2.50 odds aren’t a bad underdog play for value either.

Blues vs Wings Bet: The Wings aren’t going to make the playoffs this year – I can guarantee that. And after the last few crushing victories despite battling hard their confidence is going to be gone. The Blues have an impressive 4 games won in a row on the road at the moment. These games are always tight and Wings have won 5 of the last 6. If I was betting I’d go with Blues to win but not sure I’ll take this one.

Flames vs Flyers Bet: The Flames returned from the bye week and got thumped by the Coyotes. I like a much better performance here against a struggling Flyers team. They had some great results going into the break. Flames to win.

Sharks vs Panthers Bet: The Sharks have won the last 3 games against the Panthers including once this season. They’ve had a rocky time of it at home lately but they’re usually good for the home win. However I’m going to take Over 5 Goals.
