A 2-2 record on Saturday.

Just a quick post today since I am getting this up so late in the day.

The system likes the Yankees quite a bit today, but I’ll be skipping that one based on the weird doubleheader type situation going on there. They are finishing up a game that was stopped due to rain earlier this year with a 3-3 tie. I believe we had the Yankees in that one too. Fun fact: If Juan Soto plays in this game he’ll technically be playing in a game that started before his MLB debut. Neat.

My system is also a big fan of the over in the Cubs/White Sox game, but there is just enough rain out there that I don’t fully trust it. Could be a late start or just a wet game. No thanks.

Texas Rangers vs. Kansas City Royals Betting Tips:

The weatherman at Rotogrinders says this one will be hot and humid with winds blowing out. In other words, perfect hitting weather. I was already eyeing the Rangers here a bit and that just seals it for me. They face Ian Kennedy who has a 5.13 ERA/4.53 FIP on the year and I like them to show some power against him today.

The Rangers send Bartolo Colon to the mound and, well, if you can’t beat him, join him. Let’s go Rangers.

Houston Astros vs. Tampa Bay Rays Betting Tips:

Easy money, right here. Gerrit Cole has been killing it all season for us and against the Rays should be more of the same.

The Astros offense is absolutely on fire right now and Ryne Stanek plus whatever relievers they throw out there don’t scare me at all. Lay the runs.

San Francisco Giants vs. Miami Marlins Betting Tips:

This series is going to pop up a lot these next couple of days, just like it did last week. I can understand anyone being apprehensive about that, but just know that teams play better at home and the Marlins are still the Marlins.

This is a match-up of a couple of lefties in Caleb Smith and Andrew Suarez. Well, Suarez is having a great season and Smith is not. The Giants hit lefties better than Marlins hit lefties. Simple.
