I’m still at that annoying point in the year where I still write “2018” way more than I should. At least once a day I post tips on one of my sites and write “2018′ instead of 2019. So bloody annoying.
Speaking of annoying – so much cup football in midweek is annoying. Just makes it that much harder to tip I find as you never know who is putting extra weight into a competition and who isn’t.
We’ll mosey on over to France today and check out Ligue 1 for some action.
Guingamp vs Rennes Betting Tips:
Guingamp are basement dwellers while Rennes are battling for a European spot and are currently in 7th place in the league.
We’re getting a nice price on Both Teams to Score that I’d like to jump on however going to go with over 2.5 instead as the price is much better.
Rennes have did an excellent job defensively in their last four matches. They have managed to rack up 4 clean sheets in a row. However prior to they they have had some real defensive issues.
It’s one those things where you look at it and think when does it end and I think it ends tonight against Guingamp. Yes Guingamp are bottom of the league and they themselves have the worst defensive record but I just think they have what it takes to sneak in a goal here.
That’s why initially I wanted BTTS however the more I look at it, odds for that are 1.95 and odds on over/under are 2.30. The way Guingamps defense is at times it’s entirely possible Rennes rack up the goals against them. They do score more away than at home on average.

Saint-Etienne vs Marseille Betting Tips:
This should be quite a battle.
Saint-Etienne are currently 4th place in the league. While Marseille are 9th in the league there are only 5 points that separate the teams so it’s a six pointer.
Offensively both teams are two of the best in the league. Defensively Marseille are about average and Saint-Etienne are above average.
Saint-Etienne come into this on some solid form and their home performances are only 2nd to PSG. However while they have racked up two clean sheets in a row, I think Marseille can make a game of it against them. We saw Marseille go at it with Nantes and I think we see similar here. I like this to be an open match as Marseille have to be getting a bit desperate at this stage. Saint-Etienne offensively are excellent too especially at home and they can get in the goals – but I think Marseille score at least one.
