The Bundesliga returns Saturday, May 16th and all the leagues across Europe look on hoping everything goes well for them.
It was a winning day for us last time out with the Belarus soccer. We won with our bigger bet on Isloch to beat Belshina 2-1. We also won on Brest/Minsk as we backed Both Teams to Score in that one. Brest won 2-1 so we didn’t get to do a perfect 3 as we had a small 0.5u bet on the draw.
Alright so the Bundesliga is back. Theoretically, everyone will be even in terms of fitness levels and all that. It’s one of those things where I can’t really wrap my head around things too much so we’ll just have to watch and see.
I’ve spent a crapload of time going through everything this morning to try and be as prepared as I can. My only working theory is that “the teams with the best players will win”. While that isn’t exactly the hottest of takes – I believe that with the break affecting everyone; skill will step up that much more here.
Dortmund vs Schalke Betting Tips:
Dortmund vs Schalke will be an interesting one. A rivalry matchup that in the past has featured attacking dogs and lions. Usually a great atmosphere but it won’t be here. I wonder what they’ll do to intimidate each other this time? Instead of lions maybe just a bunch of people coughing on the sidelines.
I’d normally be concerned with this one but with no fans, I don’t see it being as big in terms of the rivalry and passion aspect.
Schalke are currently 6th but really they don’t deserve to be that high and have got there on a fair bit of luck in my opinion. Dortmund meanwhile are still chasing Bayern Munich and with a four point gap, this one means a lot to them. Goal difference might be a factor stoo so worth considering that.
Dortmund at home this season have been incredible and average 3.42 goals here. Of course that’s with fans so it will be interesting seeing how it affects things.
Gotta go with Dortmund here though.

Eintract Frankfurt vs Borussia Monchengladbach Betting Tips:
One thing I am trying not to do is overthink things in terms of the coronavirus and the impact the break has had. So for this one – on paper if it was part of the regular season I think it’d be a high scoring game so I am going to go with that here.
Frankfurt are currently 12th in the league while Monchengladbach are 4th. Frankfurt are one of the better teams at home – although again who knows how that will factor in. Eithe rway, both teams are among the top 6 in terms of xG. Monchengladbach score 1.58 on average away while Frankfurt score 2.25 on average at home. Goals conceded are 1.33 at home for Frankfurt and 1.17 on average for Monchengladbach.
I also think that being back it will lead to the teams wanting to win more. They’ll have that desire. It may be weird playing in front of no crowds but just being back – I like goals to be scored.
