It was a winning day in the SPL yesterday but a losing day in the MLS. The xPTS betting system is off to a good start so far at +1.92u with 4 games today. I’ll talk more about that in the article on Tuesday.
In the Scottish Premier League we went 2-1. We had Aberdeen to win at 2.37 odds and they did just that with a fine 2-0 victory away to Livingston. It was a thrilling game with a whopping 8 combined shots ha. The 2nd goal by Aberdeen was a penalty too.
We had Over 2.5 goals in Motherwell versus Ross County. That one was a bit slow going with the goals but as soon as Alan Campbell scored for Motherwell that opened things up. Ross County ended up winning 2-1.
We had St Mirren to beat Hamilton but despite the Accies going down to 10 men, they just couldn’t do it. I said in my write-up St Mirren can create the chances but just can’t find the back of the net. That happened again on Saturday with 15 shots and just 2 on target.
MLS was a dud. This time last year I was crushing the MLS going into the playoffs and it was a nice time. Just the opposite right now although a lot of it is down to bad luck to be fair. We had Orlando City or Draw against Houston and that was an unfortunate one. Orlando went up 1-0 after 6 minutes thanks to Dom Dwyer. Houston fought their way back into it though and goals in the 70th and 73rd minute won it for them.
I backed Columbus to win while saying I hated the bet – so hopefully none of you followed as they drew 1-1. As it is this one looked good as Columbus scored in the 18th minute. Fredy Montero equalized for Vancouver in the 94th bloody minute. That’s the 6th time in 2 months we have lost a bet due to an injury time goal. Crushing.

DC United vs Seattle Sounders FC Betting Tips:
DC United are currently 5th in the East. A win can springshot them to 4th in the league which will give them home field advantage.
Seattle are 2nd in the West however it’s still very tight there. They have been throwing in some good performances lately but like many MLS teams, struggle away.
They’ll be happy to take on DC United at this time though as they have had woes at home. Losses to the Red Bulls and Philadelphia have hurt them greatly in the battle for seeding.
Despite that, Wayne Rooney and his men will be looking at this one to hopefully turn around their fortunes. Ola Kamara has been solid lately and DC United have at least picked two wins up in a row.
Seattle historically have a good record over DC and haven’t lost in 8 games against them.
Hopefully Wayne Rooney can snap out of his funk here.

FC Dallas vs New York City FC Betting Tips:
NYCFC have been on a tear lately and have 6 wins and 1 draw in their last 7 games. FC Dallas haven’t been too bad either with just 1 defeat in 5 games.
NYCFC have clinched home advantage at least and will be looking for that bye game with Atlanta breathign down their necks.
I think both teams cancel each other out here.
