What a roller coaster of a weekend in the golf.

In the PGA we looked like we had Brian Harman taking it or coming close as we went into the final day. He crumbled unfortunately and frustratingly couldn’t even finish in the Top 5 for the E/W cash. He finished tied for 6th.

Amazingly however Bubba Watson stepped up out of nowhere with a -7 day. That was enough to put Paul Casey off and poor Casey choked after an amazing Saturday and Bubba, a 1/2 unit play, got us the win!!!

Interestingly Casey was on my shortlist last week. When it came to current form and course form, he checked the boxes. However what put me off was the price(20/1 way too low considering the field) and also what traditionally works on this course he didn’t match up there stats wise this year. Both of those saved us a lot of heartbreak.

We came insanely close in the LPGA as wellwith Minjee Lee leading over the weekend. Unfortunately Nasa Hataoka had a huge last day to steal it. And even Lydia Ko couldn’t get a 5th place spot sadly as she ended up 1 stroke off so we missed the E/W cash there.

Still major props to Bubba Watson for that and I hope Paul Casey picks himself up. He played golf to be proud of on Saturday.

Here’s the betting slip for this one:

Let’s tackle next weeks and after a nice little win I’ve thrown everything behind the social block this week – sorry!
