A 1-3 day with the English Championship tips yesterday.
We had Luton to beat Derby. Rooney scored to put Derby up 1-0 with 63 minutes gone but Luton fired back and ended up pulling off a massive 3-2 victory. Very bad result for Derby.
We had Hull to defeat Huddersfield. That was a hectic game as Huddersfield went up early and we had end to end stuff. Hull scored to make it 1-1 with 20 minutes left and it was anyones game. Alas Huddersfield scored in the 95th minute.
We had Millwall or Draw against Leeds and that one was looking great, with Millwall up 2-0 at half time. Unfortunately that seemed to fire Leeds up. They came out strong and scored after just a couple of minutes then kept the momentum going and ended up running out 3-2 winners.
Our win was with Wigan vs Sheffield Wednesday. That one we had over 2.5 goals in and needed to wait until the 90th minute to go over. I’ll take it.
So frustrating day. I’m really disappointed in Derby honestly. They have shown a lot of fight leading up to this one and I really thought they could get that win.
We’ll start looking ahead to the weekend now.
Bologna vs Brescia Betting Tips:
Bologna have been an interesting team to watch this season. By the xPTs system they should be doing better than they are however we’re starting to see them turn those chances into goals, and get rolling after a slow start. Nice to finally see.
Now they host Brescia, who sit at the foot of Serie A tied with three other teams.
Bologna went on a 3 game run without winning, although with 2 draws, however turned that around with a healthy victory away to SPAL. At times they seem to perform to their teams level (see that 2-1 win over Atalanta) however the win over SPAL bodes well as they come into this game.
While as I mentioned Bologna stand out in the xPTs its more due to their away performances than their home. At home they have just a 3-4-3 record and come in on the back of two draws here.
It’s a tight one as they can’t seem to stop conceding. They’ve conceded a goal in their last 9 home games, and last 16 overall! Brescia meanwhile have conceded goals in their last 6 matches in a row.
This is one where generally I want to say I believe in Bologna and I was ready to back them going into this one. However the more I look at the stats and numbers, it just makes sense to back BTTS instead. Especially when the odds are the same.

Sassuolo vs Roma Betting Tips:
Sassuolo aren’t a team to sleep on. Despite being 15th in the league they’re still a solid bunch. However I like the value on Roma here.
Roma have an electric away record with 6 wins and 3 draws in 10 games. They’ve performed well in tasks against the lower placed teams on the road and defensively are better away.
