After last weekend’s fixtures, it’s safe to say that the title race is back on, all thanks to the Red Devils of Manchester United, after they beat Chelsea 2-0 at Old Trafford, while Tottenham managed to cruise past Bournemouth 4-0. It’s safe to say this is only a two-horse race now, as the other big guns have dropped too many silly points this season, Arsenal especially. Of course, Arsenal got back to winning ways on Monday night, getting a 2-1 win away to Middlesbrough in a game they surely should have won a bit more readily than the scoreline suggests. Elsewhere, Everton cemented their place as the 7th best team in the country, beating Burnley 3-1. It must be hard being an Everton fan, knowing that right now, you are the best of the rest, but just not good enough to compete with the big six. Still, if they can keep Lukaku at Goodison Park, who knows where they might be next season. This week we have the FA Cup semi-finals to keep us interested, with a smattering of English Premiership fixtures, too.

Mark Lawrenson knows all about the FA Cup, but his predictions have been pretty poor over the years for England’s premier cup competition. Still, judging by how well his season has gone so far, you can’t write Lawro off, even in the FA Cup. Although that might not be true for much longer, as Lawro put in yet another losing week. He managed to get the obvious results, but struggled to get any upsets or tighter game predictions right, never mind a correct score! Yes, Lawro copped a loss of -7.5 units to keep the losing run going for another week. However, we still have a cushion in terms of profit, but it has sunk a little to 39.73 units Still, onwards and upwards. Lawro does this from time to time, but if we keep the faith, I’m confident he’ll get back on track before the season is over. If he doesn’t, of course, he’s blown a HUGE profit late in the season.

If you want to invest (heavily or not) on Lawro finally ending this losing run place your bets; head at Bet365 to get involved in their Broe Draw promotion. Remember that when you put a bet on any of the correct score, half-time/full-time or scorecast markets, and the game finishes 0-0, Bet365 will refund your money.

With the FA Cup dominating the headlines, it’s interesting to see Lawro reckons Chelsea and Tottenham will play out a draw, before Chelsea win it on penalties. He’s predicting a Chelsea vs Manchester City final, but I can see Arsenal doing something against a stuttering Manchester City. Plus, Arsene Wenger’s record in FA Cup semi-finals is incredible, so don’t write off the Frenchman just yet.
