So we’ve ended the international week, and it’s back to the Barclay’s Premier League, but let’s be honest, football was probably not one of the most important thing last week, was it? We saw a great showing of support for the French on Tuesday night as the national team took on England at Wembley. We also saw the Germany game abandoned for obviously horrifying reasons. Still, we have to get back to normality and what better way than having Mark Lawrenson do some predictions for us for this week’s Barclays Premiership fixtures?

It’s been a fortnight since we last saw Lawro’s tips, so we need to recap how he got on last time round in Week 12 of the Premiership. Well, a fortnight ago, Lawro had a great time of it, getting four correct results and three of them were with correct scores. So if you followed Lawro’s predictions, you would have made a nice profit of 12.63 units, which takes the Lawro Audit back up to very, very impressive +28.06 units. So if you’ve continued to follow Lawro, and you were backing all his predictions to a £10 stake, you’d have a nice little kitty of £280.60.

Now, let’s get back down to Lawro’s predictions and have a look at how what his predictions are for this week’s English Premiership fixtures. As usual, we can’t forget that our friends at Bet365 are doing their Bore Draw promotion again this week. Remember, if you place a bet of up to on any of the correct score, half-time/full-time or scorecast markets, and the game finishes 0-0, Bet365 will refund your money. So once you’ve looked at Lawro’s tips, head on over to our good friends at Bet365 and get your money down.

Watford vs Manchester United

The early kick-off is actually quite interesting, as Watford are hosting Manchester United. Lawro is going for his standard prediction of a 2-0 win for the favourites, which is, of course, Manchester United. The Red Devils are a huge price of 10/11 to win here, actually, and the price for the correct score is 15/2. Watford have been playing some good football as of late, and are actually more atttacking than Manchester United. Will Watford be kept out? I don’t think so.

But why not use the early kick-off to have a bet and use Bet365’s Bore Draw promotion? Head on over to Bet365 and get involved. Have a punt on Manchester United to win 2-0, and if it ends 0-0, get your money back.

Chelsea vs Norwich

This must be the time, surely, that Chelsea get back to winning ways? Lawro thinks so, although, to be fair, he always seems to think it’s time Chelsea turn a corner. But what score do you think he’s plumped for? Of course, it’s 2-0. Chelsea are a pathetic 2/5 to win here, and the correct score is 6/1. Now, in normal circumstances, Chelsea at 2/5 would seem fair, but come on, they’ve been terrible as of late. It just helps that they’re at home and the fact Norwich aren’t exactly great. I wouldn’t be against Chelsea, but I wouldn’t be punting on them at 2/5, that’s for sure.

Everton vs Aston Villa

Aston Villa’s last match was a 0-0 draw with Manchester City, so maybe Remi Garde has them on the right track. Unfortunately for them, Lawro thinks they’re there for the taking, and he’s going for the boring prediction of a 2-0 win for Everton. It’s 4/7 for the home win, and the correct score is 7/1. I think it’s a tough one to predict. We’re just not sure what impact Garde is going to have on this Villa team. Sure, Everton have been the better team up till now, but you don’t know what impact a manage of the calibre of Garde can do to a team like Villa. Tread carefully with this match.

Newcastle vs Leicester

Do you remember that I’ve mentioned previously how much Lawro hates Leicester? Well, maybe not hate, but he’s been underrating them every week. This week, more of the same. He’s going for a Newcastle win. In fact, a 2-1 Newcastle win. It’s 9/5 for the home win and 11/1 for the correct score. I’m staying on the Leicester bandwagon for now.

Southampton vs Stoke

I don’t have much to say about this, because they really are painfully boring at times. Southampton have lost their verve they had last season, but Lawro is predicting them to win 2-0. It’s 4/7 for the Southampton win and it’s 6/1 for the correct score. I really don’t have too much to say about this, but, yeah, a Southampton win seems right.

Swansea vs Bournemouth

Actually, I thought Southampton vs Stoke was the most boring game of the weekend, and then I remembered this one. Ugh. It’s not been a great run for either side. Swansea are struggling, and Bournemouth’s injury problems are causing them grief. However, Lawro is going for a Swansea 2-1 victory. The Swansea win pays 19/20 and the correct score is 17/2. Poor Bournemouth, but I’ll say a draw.

West Brom vs Arsenal

These are the games that are a must-win for Arsenal. The Hawthorns is not a great place to go, and Lawro is just not loving Arsenal away right now. He’s going for a 1-1 draw. He really hates Arsenal! Anyway, the draw is 10/3 and the correct score pays 15/2. Come on, Lawro, show some love for the Gunners! They should win this one.

Manchester City vs Liverpool

It’s the biggest game of the weekend by far. Manchester City are favourites, and it’s a real test of Jurgen Klopp’s side’s title credentials to try and beat the favourites here. Lawro is thinking that his beloved Liverpool can take a point, with a 1-1 draw. The draw pays 3/1 and the correct score is 7/1. The last two write-ups sum Lawro up perfectly – Arsenal hatred and Liverpool love. I’ll take Manchester City to stuff Liverpool.

Tottenham vs West Ham

Another Sunday game for Spurs, and this time it’s another London derby against West Ham this week. West Ham had been the great away side of the season, but the wheels are starting to come off now, and they’re becoming just a little inconsistent. Lawro things the away magic is well and truly over and is going for a 2-0 win to Tottenham. The Spurs win pays 4/7 and the correct score pays 15/2.

Crystal Palace vs Sunderland

Monday Night Football, and it’s surely a win for Palace? Lawro thinks so, and he’s going for a 2-1 win to the Eagles. I can’t even see Sunderland scoring, to be fair. The Palace win is 8/15 and the correct score pays 8/1.

No real shocks in this week’s predictions, although even though we know Lawro tends to underrate Arsenal, I can’t believe he went for a 1-1 for them away to West Brom. Anyway, it’s not for me to doubt the legend that is Mark Lawrenson, is it?
