Not the most exciting night of darts last night for the opening session of the 2013 World Matchplay. The four seeds went through, with Terry Jenkins looking impressive with his scoring, and if he can sharpen up on his doubles, he might just get a good run. Out of the other three winners, Raymond van Barneveld looked in good nick, with his doubling particularly impressive. James Wade and Simon Whitlock just did enough, but they didn’t look too bad, either.
Two sessions today, with a 1pm start, then a 7pm start for the second session. So, eight matches, two World Champions, and several of the games biggest names. It’s a great day of sport, with the World Matchplay and the Open keeping us entertained today.
