Last night was perhaps the night of the tournament so far. We started off with Justin Pipe showing why he’s in the PDC’s top ten, then it was a match that had nearly everything, with James Wade beating Simon Whitlock in one of the game’s continuing rivalries. Then we had a Phil Taylor masterclass. Oh, and then Michael van Gerwen was knocked out by the in-form Dave Chisnall. So, the favourites tumbling last night, finally.

Tonight, it’s the semi-finals, and we have one you could have predicted, and one that few people would have seen coming. If you had Adrian Lewis Vs Michael van Gerwen, or Andy Hamilton Vs MVG in your predictor contest, I don’t blame you. But we have Dave Chisnall taking on Justin Pipe, both men deserved finalists. And we get a resumption of one of the oldest rivalries left going in the PDC, Phil Taylor and James Wade.
