Wel;come to the free sprots betting tips for April 4th 2016. I know I complained that last weekend was boring, and, come on, it was. However, this week things got a bit more interesting. Not only did we have Wrestlemania to bet on, but there was a full compliment of English Premiership fixtures, as well as all the other leagues, a decent set of NBA fixtures, and playoff pictures were nearing completion in both the NBA and NHL. And it’s always good to see Lewis Hamilton lose, isn’t it?

So it wasn’t just the Golden State Warriors that moved one step closed to history, but Leicester City did, too. It’s hard to work out which would be the bigger achievement. Sure, the Warriors setting a record for most wins in a regular season would be cool, but they’re the defending champions and have the most in-form player in the sport in their side. Leicester City, however, were battling relegation this time last year, have competitors with many times their bankroll and a squad made up of players with little experience on the big stage. So, sorry, Golden State fans, but if the Warriors get the records, and Leicester City win the Premiership, the Foxes’ achievement takes it as the story of 2016, and it’s not even close. Yes, Leicester’s win over Southampton moved Claudio Ranieri’s men one step closer to history, and if they win 6 of their last games, there’s nothing any other side can do to stop them, and that’s assuming Spurs and/or Arsenal take full points in their remaining fixtures, too. So from all of us at Sports Betting Tips, come on, Leicester!

But do you know what’s even better? It’s opening day for most of the MLB sides (sure, three games yesterday, so what!), and we’re all stoked for that, as we have a tonne of fixtures to bet on throughout the season. So let’s get to the free sports betting tips for April 4th 2016.

NHL Betting Tips

The first and probably most obvious pick of the night is Rangers ML as they look to sweep the awful Blue Jackets. Yes, things haven’t been great at home for New York, but this match-up is what they need as they hope to get get that playoff place wrapped up. Bobrovsky, who will get in the net for Columbus tonight, has a terrible record against the Rangers, too, which isn’t going to help matters, especially since he shipped 4 goals in both their last two meetings.

Second pick of the night is St Louis -1.5. The Blues on home ice are utterly dominant, in fact of late they’ve been dominant wherever they’ve played, apart from one slip against the Bruins. Is that going to change against Arizona? No. The Coyotes are struggling to get the puck in the net, and against a stingy Blues defense, that isn’t going to change any time soon. St Louis are outscoring and outperforming their opposition, so look for things to stay the same tonight in a total mismatch.

MLB Betting Tips

Houston Astros are the first pick of tonight’as MLB action. Keuchel on the mound for the Astros just fills me with confidence, especially the way he handled the Yankees at the tail end of last season. What wasn’t there to love about that?

Giants -1.5 is the other play for us tonight. Peralta is on the mound for the Brewers, and he has a tough time against the Giants usually, which doesn’t bode well for this season opener. Add in Madison Bumgarner opening for the Giants, and it doesn’t look like an easy match at all for the Brewers. I’d expect a bit of a blow-out here as one of the pre-season favourites for the World Series open their season.
