6-2 on Patreon so far this month.

A tough loss last night in the Kansas/UNC game. They were down huge at the half, but then came back strong to win the game outright. Unfortunately, they didn’t cover the spread as they won by three when we laid -4. Two absolute insane things happened at the end that really seemed to go against us and cost us the cover.

First, a UNC player went down with an injury with little time on the clock and Kansas just dribbled the ball and waited for the referee’s to stop the game. Why not just score the basket there and let UNC use a timeout? This is a national championship game! Save your sportsmanship for the regular season.

Then Kansas had the ball with three seconds left and it was a sure foul situation for UNC. One made free throw gets us to a push, two gets us to a win. Kansas inbounds the ball and then the player steps on the line while trying to run away from UNC’s defense. Why? They need to foul! I get you want to run the clock out, but this was the worst case scenario as you gave them the ball back with a chance to tie.

Anyway, a very successful run in the NCAA tournament when all was said and done, 29-20 against the spread.

Speaking of success, we are now 95-64 ATS in NBA bets this season.

The Play-In tournament starts a week from today, but there is still a lot of seeding to be figured out in the playoff races.

As a reminder, I will be posting tips every day of the NBA Playoffs. Tuesdays and Thursdays at sportsbettingtips.org, and the rest of the week on Patreon. When you add in our daily MLB tips, F1, and golf, we’re going to have a minimum of 40 posts from now until the end of the months. All for only $11.

Houston Rockets at Brooklyn Nets Betting Tips:

Charlotte Hornets at Miami Heat Betting Tips:

The Hornets need this game more than the Heat need this game. That seems clear from the Miami side as they have Kyle Lowry, Gabe Vincent, P.J. Tucker, Caleb Martin, and Markieff Morris all listed as questionable.

The Hornets are currently in the 9th position of the playoff race which means they are currently set for a one-game playoff against the Nets. The Hawks, Nets, and Nets all want to get out of that 9/10 zone to improve their playoff odds.

Charlotte just got Gordon Hayward back into the lineup. He should be on a minutes restriction here, but his return really has a trickle down effect on the roster and it should help everyone else get better. Simply having another guy who can nail an open three helps any team in this league.

The last time these two teams played it went to overtime with the Heat winning 111-107. I think it’s likely we see another close one here.

Pick: Hornets +5.5

Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz Betting Tips:

The Jazz are just a complete mess right now. They have lost six of their last seven games and blown some huge leads of late. It is going to take a lot for me to bet on them going forward, but the odds are an early exit from the playoffs is in their future.

Memphis is the complete opposite. This team just keeps winning. They’ve had Ja Morant on the shelf and have played better without him. They then had his back-up Tyus Jones miss a game against the Suns and they won that too. This is one of the most cohesive units in all of basketball right now and I’m really excited to see how it transfers in the playoffs.

The over looks like an outstanding bet here. These are two of the top four offenses in the NBA. The total has gone over in the last seven games between these two teams. The total is set at 226, a number they would have went over in the last six.

Pick: Memphis/Utah Over 226
