Hi guys,

Last week in the golf we had Matthew Fitzpatrick tied for 2nd for an E/W cash. A slight loss of about 0.75u for the week.

Before I get to this week – man, feeling really good about the Patreon exclusive F1 bets from Sunday. Took me a little bit to get back in the betting tips zone for that but went 2-1 for a 5.75u profit on that one (slightly less if you took the speculative bets on Russell & Hamilton to win).

The first few races I was a bit all over the place with it. Spent some time going back through my old F1 Betting Tips site and data to remind myself how I structrued everything etc. That helped a lot and looking forward to Spain which is next weekend.

Anyway enough about F1 – was just pretty psyched with that and how it all came in at the end.

It made Sunday a lot better after the collapse of Joel Dahmen in the Wells Fargo! He started phenomenal and was 2nd after the first round. Alas he couldn’t keep that up and ended up 51st. Pity as I knew he had the ability as well. I’m glad I didn’t go with the “safety” bet of Top 40 as I would have been furious watching that.

At&T Byron Nelson Bets:

Not really much in the way of course data here. Only the one year on the PGA tour. Some Korn Ferry stuff as well. Seems to be all about the putting and the approach with scrambling a slight factor.

The one nice thing is when I run my system, it lists Thomas as favourite followed by Scheffler. It’s the other way round at the sportsbooks but it’s always a relief seeing that on a course with a real lack of data.

Betting Note: Betting amounts are based on confidence level. My most common bet is $125 and if you classify that as 1 unit, then I have made a 628.30 unit profit from 2014-2021. Betting size varies greatly based on confidence. (full stats)

E/W (Each-Way) bets mean you split that amount. So if it is a $250 E/W bet, that means $125 on them to win, $125 on them to place (Usually in the Top 5)

One of those odd tournaments where I went in feeling good but as I crunched the data and went through everything, wasn’t loving it all. I was hoping to back JT but I feel he is more focused on the PGA Championship. We have two guys playing for the first time in a little while following big wins solo in Spieth and Scottie.

I initially had Sam Burns penciled in but his value has dropped to 18/1. Going to skip that. I’d say 20/1 is the threshold there.

Will Zalatoris – Top 20 Finish. 5/4. $125.

Debated this one. 17th place here last year. Some people think he can win this week. I’m not in that same boat. He’s in form though, and my system thinks he can pop in the top 10. I’m going with the less risky option of top 20.
