Welcome to the free sports betting tips for Monday, August 15th, 2016.

All eyes were on Rio last night, and we saw Usain Bolt prove he is the best 100m runner of all time, easing past Justin Gatlin after what was a lacklustre start from the Jamaican legend. Bolt still has the 200m and the 4x100m relay to come, and if he wins them all, he’ll have got the treble-treble, which is unheard of at this level of athletics. We also saw one of the greatest World Records of all time broken, as Wayde van Niekerk not only beat Michael Johnson’s seemingly unbeatable mark, but he smashed it with a new mark of 43.04. The fact he done it from lane 8 also sums up what an almighty performance it was.

Now, tonight, we have the final game in this week’s English Premiership action. Manchester United looks decent enough yesterday, although the scoreline flattered them. There’s still some work to be done by Mourinho to get the final pieces together. However, Arsene Wenger has even more work to do, after his side were 4-3 losers against Liverpool. It’s safe to say Wenger needs to shore up that defence, and maybe just sign someone who can take charge in midfield and boss things when the going gets tough. If they don’t sort out those problems, it could be a long season for Gunners fans. Although probably not as long as it could be for Leicester fans.

Now, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for August 15th, 2016.

English Premiership Betting Tip

Monday Night Football is back for the fans of the English Premiership, and we have a cracking London derby to kick things off. Antonio Conte gets things underway at Stamford Bridge at the start of yet another new era in English football, and it’s a tough match for him, as Slaven Bilic turned West Ham into a force to be reckoned with last season. Bilic has made a fair few signings and it’s going to be a new-look West Ham side, as well as a new-look Chelsea team. Chelsea should win here, but there are too many question marks over both sides. Instead, we’ll look at their two meetings last season, which were 2-2 and 2-1. Over 2.5 goals is the play here, and I can see both sides scoring.

MLB Betting Tips

Yankees to beat Blue Jays looks a decent bit of value to me. The Yankees are finally hitting their stride and, sure, they got smashed by Tampa Bay, but it looks just like a bit of a blip, and they know they have to improve if that want that Wild Card spot. It won’t be easy, but the value is there for them to do it.

Diamondbacks to beat Mets also looks good value here, given how well Arizona played in the recent series between the two sides on the road.

Finally, Giants -1.5 to beat the Pirates. That defeat to the Orioles is going to hurt the Giants, after leading 7-1 on Sunday, but I expect them to bounce back here. Ryan Vogelsong knows his way around AT&T Park, but he’s not the threat he once was. The Giants line-up seem to have hot bats at the moment, and I expect a comfortable win here.
