The Copa America 2019 opens up on Friday June 14th with Brazil vs Bolivia and I already have betting tips up for that one.
On Saturday, June 15th we have two games taking place.
The early game – at 3pm EST – is Venezuela vs Peru which is the other game in Group A.
Group B then starts with a bang at 6:30pm EST with Argentina vs Columbia.
Both games are very intriguing with the bookies undecided and that is nice to see. Argentina are just 2.20 favourites to beat Colombia while Peru are just 2.37.
Hopefully we see competitive games between both teams then and not just two teams playing for the draw. Always worrying when that happens.
Here’s my thoughts on both games taking place on Saturday, June 15th 2019:
Venezuela vs Peru Betting Tips:
Venezuela have been a fun team to watch lately scoring goals but also conceding. Salomon Rondon comes into this one in some fine form.
Peru had that recent loss against Colombia but they have been solid for the most part and are deserved favourites.
This is one of those games where I just think both teams will go for it and we get a belter of a match. It’s a close one and with Brazil in the group both teams will want to get the win here so both sides should theoretically attack. That’s not always the case of course but man I am hoping it will be here.
Venezuela just got that win over the USA so should be confident enough. They also had a clean sheet in that game which is rare enough but may encourage them to push.
Peru will want to wipe away that Colombia loss as soon as possible.

Argentina vs Colombia Betting Tips:
Argentina come into this one on the back of a couple of much needed wins. Of course we know how Argentina are – always such high expectations then they always bloody disappoint on the main stage. And this is pre-Messi too.
They’re 2nd favourites to win the Copa America at 4.50. Colombia however are 4th favourites at 10.00 and this will be a big test for the Argentinians.
Argentina are always one of those teams that individually are excellent but never seem to work as a team. Colombia have Carlos Queiroz in charge but he has just reently came in and doesn’t want to ring in too many changes. Of course they have intense talent in Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez.
Argentina are one of those teams I am always so wary of. You always want to back them but they are so disappointing compared to on paper. Think to the 2018 World Cup where they only mustered a 1-1 draw with Iceland before getting thumped 3-0 by Croatia then got lucky to beat the Nigerians.
Man – just typing all that brings me back to last years World Cup. Running this tips site for the first time I enjoyed that so much.
Anyway a bit of a different bet for this one.
