Oof – what a result at Easter Road. Hibs 4-0 Rangers. Just a disaster for Rangers and I hope all those Rangers fans that campaigned for Ally McCoist – who took Rangers to an unbeaten season last year in the league – are happy now.

Today the NHL is back, and after a few day break that felt like FOREVER, we are going to dedicate all of our betting tips today to the return of NHL. We’ve missed it just too freaking much!

So let’s go through each and every one of todays game, analyze it and see where we can find some hockey betting tips for December 27th. 2014:

NHL Hockey Betting Tips for December 27th, 2014:

Islanders vs Sabres: A very interesting game. Buffalo, other than that blip against the Avs have been a beast at home lately. They go into this one at 2.70 odds and with the return of a few players. Of course the Islanders are surging. We have to go with the Sabres to win at that price.

Red Wings vs Senators: Ottawa host Detroit tonight, with Jimmy Howard returning for the Red Wings. We like this to be a low scoring game. Ottawa struggle to score anyway, and Red Wings have had a lot of low scoring games of late. Take Under 5 goals at 2.25 odds.

Lightning vs Hurricanes: Bishop returns for Tampa tonight which is nice – although really they didn’t miss him. Vasilevskiy was very solid in his 3 games played. Tampa are all over the place form wise – they can be killing everyone, you expect them to destroy but then they get beaten. But we’ll risk it with Lightning -1.5.

Rangers vs Devils: We’d recommend avoiding this game. Just too many factors.

Bruins vs Blue Jackets: Bobrovksy is out. He’s been the reason for the resurgence of the Blue Jackets. However Bruins are crap on the road. 2 wins on the road in regulation time since October. Seriously? Go with Bruins to win including overtime and shootout.

Wild vs Jets: A tight matchup, and the Wild have a virus running through their dressing room. 3rd top goalscorer Zucker is out – and that’s a fairly big loss. Let’s go with a nice value bet of the Jets to win at 2.30 odds.

Penguins vs Capitals: Penguins have won the last 8 in this series. Ovechkin has yet to step up in these games. Take the Penguins to win in regulation at 2.00 odds.

Blues vs Stars: Both teams bouncing back from losses, and with the hot offenses on the ice we love the Over 5.5 goals here. Especially at 1.95 odds.

Flyers vs Predators: Flyers offense is hot at the moment, but they’re going against one of the most on form goalies in the NHL. Going to be an interesting one, but we like the value on the Flyers offfense. 2.65 odds and if they can beat Rinne it should be golden. We’d recommend doing Flyers -1 at 3.75 odds.

Coyotes vs Ducks: Both games this season have been very quiet, low scoring affairs. Under 5.5 is a steal at 1.83 odds.

Blackhawks vs Avalanche: Avs offense are starting to find their way, with two 5 goal games in the last 3. Hawks are always good with the goals. Avs looking good and have Pickard in tonight – he’s already resigned to the AHL, so we’ll take Over 5.5 at 2.25 odds.

Oilers vs Flames: Let’s be cray cray as the kids say, and take the Oilers for the upset win.

Sharks vs Kings: Gotta love Over 5 in this one.
