An 0-2 record last night.

It was a tough one for the Blazers as their big three of Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and Carmelo Anthony combined for a 20-63 night from the field and only 55 points. This team really can’t afford a bad night from any of them, but all three is a doomsday scenario. Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander combined for 41 points.

We also took the Miami Heat -7.5 and they won the game, but ultimately weren’t able to recover from a bad third quarter. It actually took them overtime to defeat the Bulls. Tyler Herro lead the way with 27 points.

Despite the bad night, it was still a winning weekend. Let’s get back on track today with two tips below.

Toronto Raptors vs. Chicago Bulls Betting Tips:

This is the second game of a back-to-back for the Bulls as they were at Miami last night and their third game in four nights. They also went to overtime in last night’s game so I am looking for them to come in tired in this game against the Raps. Toronto is also on a back-to-back, but they didn’t have the overtime or the game on Friday.

Toronto has been underrated throughout the year with spreads like this as you would think they would be a -8 or higher in this one. As it stands, they are -5.5 and that looks like a great value. They are 3-1 against the spread as a road favorite and 10-4 against the spread as a favorite overall. This team gets the job done when they need to.

Fred VanVleet is listed as questionable for this one, but the team does have Kyle Lowry back so they should still have the better back court here. Pascal Siakam will be the best player in this game and I think they can cover this one easily.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Phoenix Suns Betting Tips:

The Wolves are in the most brutal stretch of their schedule of the season and come into this one having lost four straight. This is the final game of a four game road trip and they need a win. They play a couple of games at home after this, including the Jazz and Clippers, and this team really needs a win right now. I think they know that too.

Karl-Anthony Towns can do it for them. The Suns have Aron Baynes listed as questionable and DeAndre Ayton is still out so I am looking for a big game from him here. Andrew Wiggins is healthy as well and this team has played much better when he is in the lineup.

The Suns are a dangerous team with Ricky Rubio and Devin Booker running the back court, but I don’t think they can match the size of the Wolves here.

I am breaking my own rule with the Wolves here as this is the second half of a back-to-back and their third in four nights, but desperation is a powerful motivator. This team needs to win right now.
