The English Premier League is back and it should be a great Saturday!

I tipped the Brentford vs Arsenal game which is taking place today in my other post.

We’ve got 7 games on the go on Saturday. It all starts for me at 7:30am EST and goes until the afternoon. Gotta love it. What a great Saturday.

We then have a couple of games on Sunday. I’ll maybe do betting tips for them – see how I feel.

I’ll go through every game on Saturday even if I don’t do betting tips for them. Also if you want to see fantasy soccer tips for daily fantasy sports – I’ve just did an article over at SportsBettingTips.org covering week 1.

Let’s get to it:

Man Utd vs Leeds:

We’ve seen a lot of progress from Man Utd under Solskjaer and they will be hoping to build on that this season. Especially with the signings of Sancho and Varane; have to be optimistic if you are a Man Utd fan.

Leeds were great last season with a top 10 finish. Man Utd missing a ton of players and no Cavani of course.

If last season was anything to go by, Leeds will not play defensively. Do have to wonder if no crowds was a factor in that though. I’m just going to do 0.5u on Both Teams to Score at 1.70 odds. If it was higher like 1.90 it’d be a full u. At 1.70 I am not even sure it is an +EV play at this point.

Burnley vs Brighton:

Brighton are favourites in this clash. Both teams were just above the relegation zone last season. Burnley had a brutal end to last season and will be hoping the return of fans will help their home form.

I like the preparation Burnley have did in pre-season and will have Pope and Wood to feature hopefully. I could see Burnley pulling off an upset here. 1u on Burnley Draw No Bet at 2.10 odds.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace:

Chelsea heavy favourites here and will be looking to make a statement game. Chelsea just coming in victorious from the UEFA Super Cup and they looked good there.

Lot of optimism in the Chelsea camp of course with one Romelu Lukaku which will be huge for them,.

I’m going to skip this one. I do feel Chelsea are good enough to handle Palace probably with a clean sheet or handicap bet – but just have a few concerns.

Everton vs Southampton:

Everton fans are the least optimistic this season according to The Athletic. I’m not a fan of Benitez honestly so I can understand that.

Southampton losing Danny Ings is really tough for them.

I feel like there is a good chance Southampton get a point here and the odds are nice. But Rafa likes to do things defensively.I think it’s worth 1u on Under 2.5 Goals at 1.80 odds.

Leicester vs Wolves:

Leicester coming in off that Community Shield win over Man City. They made some big signings like Daka, Bertrand and Soumare as they look to get in that Top 4 again.

No Fofana which is so tough for them.

Still – happy to bet Leicester here 1u at 1.70 odds. I like Wolves – always have since the Steve Bull era – but on paper, Leicester are just too strong for them.

Watford vs Aston Villa:

New look squad at Villa and will probably take time for them to get going. Watford were a beast last season at home. I think we get a good wee game here and am going with 1u on Over 2.5 Goals at 2.00 odds. Just have to hope it’s not one of those cagey affairs.

Norwich vs Liverpool:

Fun opening game for Norwich. They have had issues with COVID in the pre-season. Liverpool should start strong and I’m fine with a 1u bet on Liverpool -1.5 at 1.83 odds.
