Well I was hoping for a day off today after covering all the EPL & Serie A games taking place on Wednesday – alas there are four EPL games taking place on Thursday that I might as well cover ha.
Friday is a quiet day so I may take a day off tomorrow. Actually looking at the light Saturday schedule I’ll totally do that.
Anyone else take some perverse pleasure in Inter Miami losing? Not sure why but I found myself thoroughly rooting on Philadelphia in that game. I think it’s the whole “hate someone because they’re successful” deal and you can’t really get any more successful than David Beckham. Nice to know even at 39 year olds, I’m stll petty as hell in that regard.

Everton vs Aston Villa: By gosh there is life in Aston Villa. They managed to finally get on the scoresheet not once but twice as they defeated Crystal Palace. Good for them. Honestly they’ve had a tough schedule so it was nice to see. It actually adds a bit of interest to this game. Everton have the 2nd worst xG while Villas isnt actually too bad. Everton come in on a three game losing streak.
It’s a must win game for Villa if they wish to escape relegation. They have Arsenal and West Ham after this. Arsenal will be a tricky one. Everton really have nothing to play for although will want to get a win at least just for pride. When it comes to a team battling for their lives, I always like to cheer them on. I’m good with 2u on Villa or Draw at 1.72 odds. If they lose they lose however this is a great spot for them and they should be fighting for every ball.
Leicester vs Sheff Utd: Leicester have been a bit of a train wreck post break. Sheff Utd are on a great run although interestingly they still struggle away. They have been a much better team than Leicester though. Leicester are barely clinging to that 4th place spot and that collapse against Bournemouth was mental. Sheff Utds away form is concerning though. I think this could be an even game and will do 1u on the Draw at 3.30 odds.
Crystal Palace vs Man Utd: Palace have been absolutely shocking post break and they come upon a great Man Utd team. Man Utd blew their chance at 4th spot with their 2-2 draw against Southampton and will look to right that wrong here. I backed them to cover the handicap against Villa correctly and will do the same here. 1u on Man Utd -1.5 at 1.90 odds. I’d do more but for some reason in my head I picture a tight 1-0 win.
Southampton vs Brighton: Brighton are likely safe from relegation and would love a win here to confirm that. They’ve had a tough schedule and I could see them even sneaking a win here. The odds for Brighton or Draw are weak anD Southampton have been on a good run so I’m going to stay away, as tempting as 3.50 odds for a Brighton win are.
