A miniscule winning day on June 30th.

We had Lazio to defeat Torino. It was a bit tighter than I hoped due to Torino getting a penalty early on however Lazio were able to show their strength and ability and pull out the win.

Alas for Lazio it probably won’t matter as Juventus won. Good to see Lazio get the win anyway.

We lost in spectacular fashion with Celta Vigo as they got thumped by Mallorca. I haven’t had the chance to see that one yet or read a recap but I glanced at the advanced metrics and saw it was 1.68-1.56 for xG so seems Mallorca got a bit fortunate. Huge win for them either way.

There are four games taking plac ein the EPL on July 1st and I figure I will just run through each of them, have a look and see if there is any bets worth making. It was interesting seeing Man Utd get the big win over Brighton. I studied that game and I did think Utd would win in a convincing manner however I find Man Utd tough to back.

EPL Bets July 1st, 2020

Arsenal vs Norwich: Arsenal struggled right out of the gates. A loss to City followed by that brutal loss to Brighton as they got too complacent and overconfident. They bounced back with a solid 2-0 win over Southampton. Norwch are struggling hard right now and can’t score. Their xG is just 1.04 for the two games they have played. Arsenal are too big a favourite to back and I don’t trust them to “win to nil”. Both Teams to Score at 1.80 odds just isn’t for me as I just don’t know of Norwich will score. I’ll stay away.

Bournemouth vs Newcastle: It’s been a rough time for Bournemouth upon their return. Newcastle meanwhile have looked generally lively and up for it which is nice to see. They were dominated by City but still had that key Gayle chance. I think we are getting a nice price on Newcastle but I will do 3u on Newcastle Draw No Bet at 2.20 odds. They seem to be the team with the desire right now.

Everton vs Leicester: Leicester have disappointed me a fair bit since the return. I really thought Brendan Rodgers would be one of the more capable managers under these circumstances. Everton meanwhile are that team who if they had a solid and reliable goalscorer would be so much better. Hard to separate these teams. 1u on the draw at 3.30 odds. This feels like one of those “2nd half will be higher scorer” games too.

West Ham vs Chelsea: Chelsea are one of those teams I can never really back on to get a clean sheet. However I am not sure West Ham are capable of scoring. No bet here.
