1-1 for a profit in the Serie A yesterday.

We had a 1u play on Sampdoria to win over Parma at 2.62 odds. That game ended up being a bit feistier than expected. Parma had a big 2-0 lead at the end of the first half.

However Sampdoria had a massive 2nd half and came back and won 3-2. That was a fun game as I was barely paying attention to it then I ended up absolutely engrossed in it.

Had a 0.5u play on the draw in Fiorentina vs Torino but that didn’t turn out as Fiorentina ran out 2-0 winners.

Genoa were close to a play. I stayed away but they did win. Napoli vs Udinese BTTS was another play I wanted but skipped due to the advanced metrics. That also came in. Like I’ve said even if I don’t officially bet them, I do like to write about games to make sure I am on the correct track etc.

Two EPL games taking place on Tuesday and two Serie A games. Let’s look at them:

EPL Bets for July 21st:

Watford vs Manchester City: Man City lost to Arsenal in the FA Cup on saturday in a surprise and so you have to think they are going to come out motivated for this one and seeking revenge. Not good news for a Watford side who are clinging desperately above the relegation zone. Watford end the season against Man City and Arsenal so it is tough times for them.

Amazingly Watford sacked Nigel Pearson a couple of days ago which is just crazy. I’m good with 1u on Man City -1.5 at 1.83 odds.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal: It would just seem typical Arsenal to me – see them defeat Man City in a big game and then immediately blow the next one. They take on an Aston Villa team fighting to stay in the EPL and Villa have managed to get the results going. A 2-0 win over Palace and a draw against Everton.

Villa have had a tough time during the last month however it’s been a tough schedule too. I’m good with 1u on Villa or Draw at 1.66 odds. Very tempting to go 2u except Arsenal do seem to be clicking at the moment.

Serie A Bets for July 21st:

Atalanta vs Bologna: Atalanta look to keep their impressive undefeated streak going as they host Bologna who just got thumped 5-1 off AC Milan. Atalanta drew 1-1 with Verona last time out. Technically Atalanta can still win the Serie A Championship although those dropped points were brutal.

Bologna have nothing to play for and Atalanta should destroy them. I’m good with 1u on Atalanta -1.5 at 1.66 odds. I think after that Milan game we’re going to see Bologna struggle to stay motivated while Atalanta have been impressive at covering the spread.

Sassuolo vs AC Milan: No bet for me on this one. Two in-form teams performing extremely well. the draw is always the default bet here I feel but I don’t feel confident enough in it. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Milan take this one. 2.00 odds is way too much so mathematically Sassuolo or Draw would theoretically be the better play. Lot of conflicts and I’m good to skip this one.
