Welcome to Fridays Sports Betting Tips. Always free, every single day of the week.

As always this weekend we shall be watching the golf action. The Pebble Beach started off well yesterday for some with some big surprise leads like Chez Reavie at -8. Unfortunately our two picks Snedeker and Walker only got par yesterday but hopefully they are warmed up and can come out to play.

Dean Burmester is doing pretty solid in the Tshwane Open tied for 8th place.

Alright let’s get to todays betting tips. No NBA action what with the all star game so we’ll just focus on hockey today.

NHL Picks for Friday, February 12th:

The first one we’re going to take is the New York Rangers -115 as they face the Kings, who played last night. Both of these teams are battling with injuries but the goalie situation is what makes it interesting. Lundqvist has stepped up for the Rangers in the absence of Rick Nash and yet with Jonathan Quick out the rest of the Kings team are doing the exact opposite. They looked very poor against the Islanders and we have to expect a hot, fast New York Rangers team to come out and put pressure on the Kings right from the first face off.

We’re also going to ride the Tampa Bay Lightning to turn things around against the Nashville Predators. On their road trip to Canada things were absolutely BRUTAL and a lot of holes were exposed in the team. However the Tampa Bay Lightning are a team that for whatever reason really perform a LOT better at home. They’ll feel confident and comfortable here and I just don’t think the Predators can put on the necessary pressure.

We like the Pittsburgh Penguins to bounce back strong tonight. The Penguins had that tough loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning but bounced back in a tight game in Florida. Carolina is no pushover but we do think the Penguins, after being shut-out, will come out firing.

The Avalanche vs Red Wings game looks to be a tight affair, and we’ll be on the under in that.

An interesting game is Canadiens vs Sabres. The Habs have picked up a couple of wins but you have to wonder where their confidence level is. Are they going to come to Buffalo on a revenge tour and get the win? The sportsbooks think so with the Habs priced at -130. Honestly this is a very tricky one and we think if you want to bet it – and we know we have a lot of Habs followers – that you should just take Habs -1.5 at +220 odds. The handicap is a much better price and it means the Habs have to win by at least 2 goals. if the game goes the way the sportsbooks are predicting the Habs will dominate this game and Sabres may find it hard to score. It’s a tough one though.

Finally we’ll take the Florida Panthers to beat the St. Louis Blues. That should be a good game.
