A 1-1 record last night, but a profitable one as we went two units on one game.

That game was the Pelicans at home against the Blazers. In the post yesterday I wrote about how the Blazers wouldn’t have an answer for Zion Williamson and that’s exactly what happened here. Zion had 31 points and 9 rebounds in just 28 minutes. The Pelicans now hold the tiebreaker over the Blazers in the playoff race which could come into play in the tight West race.

We took the over of 232 in Rockets/Celtics, but it fell short and it mostly fell short in the first quarter when the two teams combined for only 42 points. I said in the write-up that they would be putting up a ton of threes here and they did, but not a high enough percentage of them went in. The Rockets shot just 13-for-45 for 28% in the win.

Tonight I have three picks and we’re going 1 unit on all three. A lot of stuff I like, but nothing that jumps off the page as there is a tiny shred of doubt in all three that keeps me from going higher units.

Toronto Raptors at Brooklyn Nets Betting Tips:

The Raptors are going for 16 straight tonight at Brooklyn and I am really struggling to find a reason to go against them. They have a couple injuries, but that hasn’t really mattered of late as they are fully willing to put their stars out there for big minutes.

These two teams played in Toronto a few days ago and that game looked a lot closer than it was. The Raptors won 119-118, but the game was not nearly that close. The fourth quarter saw the Nets make a +11 run to make it that close behind a huge game from Caris LeVert.

The Raps have been very good playing teams twice during this run and I just don’t think the streak ends tonight.

Bet Raptors -4

Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers Betting Tips:

Giannis Antetokounmpo is once again out for the Bucks and they are a -1 favorite tonight. Anytime you get a chance to take the best team in the NBA with a spread of -1, you have to take it.

The Bucks have played very good this season without Giannis and I expect them to continue to do so here. While the Pacers have lost six straight and are really struggling to find their identity right now. Middleton and Bledsoe have been great whenever Giannis is out and that should continue tonight.

You aren’t going to get many more chances to grab the Bucks at a spread like this so you better grab it now.

Bet Bucks -1

Miami Heat at Utah Jazz Betting Tips:

The Heat are not a great road team at just 13-15 on the season. The Jazz are a very good home team at 19-5 on the season. Sometimes it’s just that simple.

The Heat are on a long road trip right now and have a 1-3 record thus far with the only win being against the lowly Warriors. The Heat beat the Jazz in Miami earlier this season and this looks like a clear case of two teams splitting their home games.

Bet Jazz -4.5
