The Champions Tour in Golf sees its 3rd tournament of the 2015 season, with the ACE Group Classic, and we have some ACE betting tips for you.

While it’s been around for years, the only thing you really need to care about the ACE Group Classic is the last few years worth of data, as that’s the only time they’ve actually played at the TwinEagles Golf Course. Over the years, they have played at quite a lot of courses, starting at the The Club in Pelican Bay. There’s been about 10 courses over the last few decades they have played at – and the only tournaments that have a bearing on todays are the last few.

The favourite for this tournament is Bernhard Langer. Why? Because in the last 3 years he has finished in the top 2 every time. He has one win, and two second places and so to no surprise he comes into this at 7/2 to win the tournament.

However based on those odds it’s not worth betting him at all. When he won, it was very tight and it came down to one stroke between him and 3 others. He just truly is not worth the bet.

For this tournament, we are looking at two golfers. It’s actually quite a tough field and we will mention another potential golfer.

First up is Kirk Triplett. We have made money on him in the past – with a couple of wins last year when we rode him on his hot streak. He won here last year, however is coming into it after a poor showing in last weeks tournament. Based on that, the odds of Triplett are 22/1.

It’s very possible he is on a downswing – it happens. But Triplett is not at that stage yet where we ignore him. We’re going to ride him on this one, knowing that as he has won here before, he will be confident of doing it again. Langer should push him all the way which is good.

Next, we are betting Duffy Waldorf although we only recommend betting a quarter or half what you usually bet. Waldorf we don’t feel too confident about – but we do feel that at 45/1 there is value on him. He actually came 2nd here last year, however he did not look good when he played last week at all. He did end on a high note shooting a 68, so we are placing a small bet on the hope he rides that form into this week.

Our final betting tip for the ACE Group Classic is Olin Browne. HOWEVER this is one where it’s a risk and we’re not too happy with the odds, so we’re placing a quarter unit bet. See – Browne is a very, very inconsistent golfer and he’s been all over the place. We’re basically betting that he will remain consistent throughout – and at this stage, it’s something we’re not too confident about.
