It’s Friday, February 19th 2016 and what a night of sports we have.

The big event of course is Bellator 149 featuring Shamrock vs Gracie, and Kimbo vs DADO 5000. A lot of controversy involving that one as out of nowhere people in Vegas were putting barrels of money on Mr 5000. So much that he went from a huge underdog to evens and a lot of books have taken the line off.

Let’s get to the tips today:

Bellator 149 Betting Tips:

No offense to the Bellator organization – but who knows if the fix is in here or not. So when it comes to betting we highly recommend playing small bets purely for entertainment purposes.

We recommend Ken Shamrock to beat Royce Gracie. Shamrock is around -110 but we think he should be a slight favourite. Shamrock actually didn’t look too bad against Kimbo and it was a mistake that cost him. As long as Royce isn’t roided up again – Shamrock should be able to get the win here.

We’re also on Emmanuel Newton. These two had a great fight 2 years ago. Newton has to get back on track and we like him to do so here.

NHL Betting Picks – 19/02/2016:

Sabres @ Blue Jackets: Both teams go into this one off the back of 1-1 games that went to OT on the 16th. Evander Kane is back for the Sabres tonight. I like Over 5.5 Goals in this one. Blue Jackets are one of the leakest teams at home with 3.07 GAA. The Sabres are very solid at scoring on the road and I like a scrappy game here with both teams feeling it’s winnable. Kane being back will be a lift for the Sabres.

Islanders @ Devils: I’m going to take the New Jersey Devils for the win here. I’ll give props to the Islanders if they can win this one because that’d be a big win after their hard loss last night. The Devils are reeling after everyone was speaking up their goaltending and defense, and then they go out and concede 6 against the Flyers. I like a strong bounce back game from the Devils tonight. They’re without Cammalleri again but that’s nothing new. Hopefully Gionta aill b e playing today.

Sharks @ Hurricanes: Both teams played last night, with the Hurricanes going down to Ottawa. However they return home where they have had a lot of success with some great home results lately. The Sharks however have also looked very solid on the road in the majority of their recent games. With Stalocks expected to be in net however I like the Hurricanes to continue their impressive home form. Bet on the Hurricanes if Stalocks is in net. Canes have a good record against the Sharks.

Flyers @ Canadiens: Montreal go into this one as the slightest of favourites. They’re on a 3 game slump. The Flyers are coming off that 6-3 game against New Jersey. The Habs have won their last 3 at the Bell Centre against Philly. This is a tough game – and one I’d recommend avoiding. Slight lean towards the Habs.

Canucks @ Flames: Calgary go into this one off the back of a lot of high scoring games at home. The Canucks go on the road where they’ve had success recently after a lot of brutal losses at home. The Canucks won last time they were in Calgary. I absolutely hate betting on the Canucks – but they are a massive price of at least 2.30 depending on where you bet and I’m going to take the risk with them here. Their road form has been solid and even though it’s hard to see the Flames losing ANOTHER at home – the price is right.
