Oh, we’re a bit dusty in the Sports Betting Tips office today. We had a lot going on. Not only did we have out usual NBA and NHL fix, but we had UFC Fight Night, WWE Fast Lane, and our rugby tipster watched the World Club Challenge blowout in his red and green South Sydney Rabbitohs shirt, so it was a hectic, messy Sunday, which some of us are still recovering from. In fact, our South Sydney fan is still determined to party and is chanting Greg Inglis’ name non-stop.

So it’s a new week and we have more tips. We have the usual NHL and NBA action to get stuck into, and we also have Champions League football to get stuck into on Tuesday, but, as always, we’ll get our tips up nice and early for everyone to get on.

Now, let’s get onto those free sports betting tips for February 23rd, 2015.

NBA Betting Tips for 20th February

San Antonio vs Utah

We didn’t like the look of the Spurs in their first two games after the break, but let’s be honest, they had to tough, tough games. Would anyone fancy taking on the Warriors and the Clippers back-to-back? We don’t think so. And yes, the Jazz have been looking solid, but come on, the Spurs kept it tight against the Clippers and were just unfortunate to bump into a flying Warriors side. The line for this game is 5.5 points, and if you had seen that earlier in the season, you would have put the house on the Spurs. So what’s changed? A bit of a losing skid and Utah looking good? Jut remember that it’s the Spurs vs the Jazz, and there should be more than 6 points in it. So, San Antonio -5.5 is the definite play here.

Philadelphia vs Miami

The Heat must want this season to be over already. With Chris Bosh now out, their going to struggle to hold onto that playoff spot. Is Goran Dragic the answer? Probably not, as Bosh has big boots to fill. He’ll fill a spot for now, sure, but he’s not what the Heat need right now. The fact is, they’re going to win tonight, but will they do it comfortably? We don’t think so. It’s two sides in trouble and that can only mean one thing – carnage. The line is 11.5 points, which is too big for a Heat side that can buy a win most of the team. Philadelphia +11.5 is out pick tonight, as we think they’ll at least keep it respectable.

NHL Betting Tips for February 16th

Just the two games tonight in the NHL, with the Coyotes taking on the Devils and the Red Wings taking on the Ducks. So, although there’s only two games, it’s two quality encounters.

Coyotes vs Devils

It’s been a tough old season for the Coyotes, and it’s time to rebuild for them. Out with the old and in with the new, so to speak. There’s little motivation left for this side, as many of there players will be moving on, so playing for their place in the side is out of the question. The Devils, on the other hand, are on a bit of a winning streak and have a faint sniff of making the play-offs still. They’re a nice price to win in regulation, so take Devils to win in regulation as the pick in this one. The Devils never make it too easy for us, but they’re a classier side than the struggling Coyotes.

Red Wings vs Ducks.

This is one where to clear picks stand out for us. The Wings are missing Zetterberg, which is a huge loss for them as they try to build on the two-game winning steak. So, Ducks to win in regulation is the first pick. The Ducks are good, and, yes the Wings are good, but home rink and a strong side to choose from, the Ducks are the value choice here. However, we also think it’s going to be high-scoring, so over 5.5 goals is our other selection. Look for the Ducks to win a quality, high-scoring encounter.

Championship League Betting Tips For 24th February 2015:

One match that has the whole of Europe talking, while there could be a quiet classic going on in Italy.

Manchester City vs Barcelona

This is the game every football fan in Europe has been waiting for. Two of the most exciting, attack-minded teams in Europe facing off against each other. Manchester City come into this off the back off an emphatic 5-0 win over Newcastle United, while Barcelona lost 1-0 to Malaga. However, while the most recent form lines point to a Manchester City win, remember that Barcelona were comfortable 4-1 aggregate winners at this stage last season. We’re yet to be convinced that Pellegrini can get the job done with this side in the European Cup. Playing at home is a huge bonus for City, but it’s Barcelona they’re playing not Newcastle United, and it’s not going to be so easy. The bookies have priced the match winner market just right, but we think there’s still some value in both teams to score as neither side are going to sit back and defend.

Juventus vs Borussia Dortmund.

The sleeper match of the night, maybe. Juventus are steadily going through the motions in this season’s European Cup and got the draw many will have wanted against the out-of-form Borussia Dortmund. Of course, the Germans have now won three in a row to get out of the relegation zone, but it’s not been a great season for them. In comparison, Juventus are romping their way to more success in Italy. With Vidal looking likely to feature, Juventus look in a good position to make it to the last eight. The Italians are a shade of odds-against, which is terrific value, so get on Juventus to win.
