Welcome to Wednesday, and the sports betting tips for today.

We’re back to our regular routine now of a lot of golf tips – and the NHL has returned too which is nice. We’re all gearing up here for the Super Bowl and just can’t wait – should be a good game. We’ll have a ton of betting tips for that one on Saturday – going over all of the prop bets. And then on Sunday we’ll tell you who we think will win Super Bowl 50 so stay tuned for that.

For now let’s get onto todays tips:

Golf Betting Tips:

So first up is the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Such a classy name isn’t it? Long time readers will remember last year when we tipped Hideki Matsuyama and won money when he came 2nd. We’re going to take Matsuyama again – this time for a Top 5 Finish. This is just the perfect course for Hideki and we like him to get another Top 5 finish and be battling it out at the top.

We’re also taking two top 10 finishes which are Brandt Snedeker and Bubba Watson. Both are interesting ones. Watson has went the Tiger Woods style when it comes to picking and choosing what tournaments to play. Sometimes that works out and sometimes it doesn’t. He’s coming into this as the favourite and we’re not sure what exactly he will bring to the table so we’ll be safe with a top 10 finish.

With Snedeker – there’s no-one playing golf as good as he is at the moment. However that win last week may have changed things around for him. We often see a golfer peak and then immediately decline. That’s why we’re playing it relatively safe with a top 10 finish because even though he might start strong it’s possible he fades – but hangs on for the Top 10 Finish.

We’re also betting the Dubai Desert Classic. In this one we’ll have to back Kaymer Top 5 due to his course history. The dude is a beast on this course. And speaking of beasts – one guy we can’t ignore is Stephen Gallacher to finish in the Top 10. The Scotsmans form in this course just stands out above everything else and we’d be really regretting if we didn’t bet him here.

Finally there is the Champions Tour, and we’re going to take Michael Allen to finish in the Top 5 in the Allianz Championship. Just a small bet on that one. He started the season off slow at the Mitsubishi but he actually got better as the tournament went on. he’s played well here before – won it as well – and we have to hope that his first round showing was just a poor start and shaking off some rust, and that he will come into the Allianz Championship full of confidence.

Enjoy this weeks golf. No LPGA Tips because we wrote the wrong bloody date on the calendar for that one!
