Always a fun course, the Frys.com Open takes place at the Silverado Country Club, on their North course. This tournament has been dominated by Americans ever since it started back in 2007, with only 2 non-Americans winning it in the 7 years it has taken place.

Of course, this is the first time it will be played at the Silverado. Previously it has been held at the Grayhawk Golf Club and Cordevalle Golf Club. The Silverado has been used previously for PGA many years ago, but it’ll be interesting to see how this one goes.

It’s going to be very tricky this week when it comes to the betting – but the bookies will be struggling as well and that’s always a good sign.

Frys.com Open Winner #1: Brooks Koepka

Koepka is coming into this one on form, with some really solid results in the European Tour. He was quite weak in the PGA last year with nothing too good, however his performances in the European Tour make him wirth a look. He finished 3rd in the Omega European Masters, 11th in the KLM Open and 9th in the Links.

Koepka is worth a bet at that price.

Bet: Brooks Koepka 28/1 E/W at .

Frys.com Open Winner #2: Jimmy Walker

Walker won the Frys.com Open last year, although of course it was a completely different golf course.

Jimmy Walker started last season in fine form however. He won 3 tournaments between October and February, with a 6th place finish in the CIMB Classic as well.

He’s also had two solid starts the prior two seasons, although nothing like last year.

It was sad to watch Walker struggle in the tail end of the season. But you have to hope that confidence is surging through him from last year and he’s able to turn that into a repeat victory.

Bet: Walker 14/1 E/W at .

Honestly – as much as we like to go for 3 picks every week this week is very tricky for the beginning of the PGA Tour. With it being the opening tour and thus no real form guides to go on, plus it being a new course we don’t feel confident at all.

We are going to stick with the above two bets and do nothing more. Good luck everyone.

FRYS PGA OPEN RESULTS & ANALYSIS:

Ooooof – so close with Brooks Koepka. Koepka went into the last day looking good, but he ended up having a horrible day shooting 72 to end up tied for 8th. If he had just ONE better he would have got in the top 5 allowing a cash. Very frustrating one.

Either way – considering this is a very tricky one to predict, we’re extremely happy with how our simulations went there.
