Hi everyone and welcome to this weeks golf tips.

This week we have the Players Championship. This tournament is placed at the TPC at Sawgrass, Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Greg Norman set the record here back in 1994 at -24. This tournament isn’t considered a major although really everyone else considers it one ha.

In 2017 it started being played in March again and there was a lot of changes so if you are looking for course form data I’d focus on that period more than anything else.

Interestingly for Rory backers, no-one has successfully defended their win here. Thinking about it I don’t believe anyone has even came close.

Anyway I have a few bets for this tournament. Note that I am placing these at Bet365 where they are paying out e/w bets up to top 6 for this one so I am factoring that in.

Players Championship 2020 Bets:

It’s a tricky tournament so small bets here.

I have two main bets of Bryson Dechambeau 20/1 and Webb Simpson 28/1. 2u plays, to win and Top 6 which means split 1u on them to win, 1u on top 6 finish (or e/w).

DeChambeau is killing it at the moment. One of the most on form golfers right now. Top 5 the last three tournaments. That’s impressive stuff. He’s not did too badly here since the changes with a 37th placed finish and a 20th placed finish. I think he can contend.

Simpson has won here previously. When I ran the metrics, he stepped out above everyone else in almost every overall category. By the numbers that I run, he just has to be bet here.

I’ve then got four smaller players. All of these are 1u to win and top 6.

First up is Daniel Berger 66/1. Performing extremely well and finished here in 2016 very good. However has struggled on the new course. WIth the odds and his current form though I gotta take him.

Then I am on Matt Kuchar 55/1. Stands out on the metrics enough for me to bet on Kuchar in this one and has two decent performances here.

I’m also on Hideki Matsuyama 28/1. Already preparing to be disappointed on Hideki unfortunately. He just doesn’t seem commited these days it seems to me. Not sure if he can’t handle the stress or pressure or what.

Finally Tommy Fleetwood 25/1 who stands out well on course form here.

That’s my picks. Enjoy this non-major Major. I know I will. Great time to be a golf fan.
