Welcome to a special Tuesday edition of the golf betting tips.

Usually I save them for Wednesdays however Vin has switched days with me today so I’ll be covering the golf today and he’ll cover other sports tomorrow.

We’ve been on a very nice run with the golf lately and I’m hoping it continues. After that huge 14/1 win with Dustin Johnson we followed it up with a 45/1 place this week in the LPGA. What a tournament that was too – props to Brooke Henderson whose performances lately have been nothing short of amazing.

Our win was with Austin Ernst. Here’s the betting slip for that one:

Not a huge win or anything but made it about a break even week so hey I’ll take it.

Not a lot of golf going on this week with my focus being on the Scottish Open, as well as the US Womens Open.

The Champions Tour has the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open going on but I have looked at that and there’s nothing that is really standing out to me for that one.

So okay let’s start with the Scottish Open shall we?

I’m taking the 9/1 Henrik Stenson first of all. The Swede has struggled recently on the PGA Tour but it was only a little while ago he was killing it there in the Arnold Palmer and Houston Open. On the European Tour he just recently turned things around with a victory at the BMW International Open. His form this season has really been both up and down but I’ll be backing that form to be UP this time around. He’s played well on this course before too which helps. I’m betting a half unit on Stenson.

Got a bit of a dark horse pick as well with Raphael Jacquelin although I’m only putting a quarter unit on him as it’s a big price and I can’t fully count on him. He’s been in solid form however his performance at the French Open coming into this was fairly poor. I’m willing to give him a go and hope he can put that bad performance behind him.

That’s the two bets I’ve got going in the Scottish Open. Nothing too big as nothing really stood out for me this time around.

Now let’s turn our attention to the LPGA.

It’s the U.S. Womens Open this week and it’s a rather tricky one to call to be honest. The only thing I like is that due to Brooke Hendersons performances lately she’s a heavy 2nd favourite and it makes all the other prices better.

I’m going with Stacy Lewis on this one. Personally I wouldn’t bet her at 15/1 or below but at 20/1 it’s a nice little price. It makes the E/W bet worth taking and that’s why I want to bet it – because I just don’t have full confidence in her ability to actually win the tournament. I mean on her day she could beat everyone in the field but she hasn’t had that day for awhile.
