Thursday is here and it’s always a major day in the NBA as they have the big NBA Thursdays on TNT. This day typically brings us some of the best match-ups and today is no different with a nice one between the Spurs and Thunder. San Antonio has really been rolling of late and the Thunder currently sit as the 3rd seed in the West.

The Spurs had some growing pains early, but seem to be getting on track. They are 7-3 over their past ten and have moved into the 7th seed in the West. That just shows how tough the West is though as they are now just two games behind the Thunder for that third seed. This is a big game for both teams and it should be a good one.

A big story this season has been the play of Russell Westbrook. He has really struggled scoring and in turnovers. The amazing defense and the play of Paul George has hid it, but he has been more of a hindrance than a help. A smart coach like Gregg Poppovich will know how to exploit that.

NBA Betting Tips:

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs: The Spurs are just an awesome team at home and it is hard for me to avoid them here. The Spurs are getting points at home here which has been a big mistake for the sportsbooks all season long. They are 5-1 as a home underdog this year and I see them having similar results here. They lost last night to the Grizzlies which could be a result of them looking forward to this one. While OKC is coming off two bad losses to the Wizards and Wolves, two teams they should beat. All over the Spurs today.

NHL Betting Tips:

Boston Bruins vs. Washington Capitals: The Capitals are first in the Metro division and scoring at the pace in which they always do, which is awesome. They play the Bruins tonight and it’s a rare time in which they are an underdog. The Bruins are on a solid run of games right now and have been playing really good hockey, but this is the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals. If I get a chance to back them as an underdog and Ovechkin and Holtby are playing, I’m going to do it. While the Bruins are a very good home team, I think the odds make this a solid play on the Caps.

Carolina Hurricanes vs. Tampa Bay Lightning: The Canes are on quite a run right now, but they are about to run into a brick wall known as the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa is arguably the best team in the league right now and are definitely a Stanley Cup favorite. Vasilevskiy is coming off a huge game in goal against the Blue Jackets and we hope that he continues that here. Then again, it often doesn’t matter what he does back there with the best offense in the league fronting him. I always like the Lightning, but feel like they are being a bit underrated here.
