It’s January 28th, 2014….I mean 2015.

Anyone else still struggling with the year? I think I’m at about 80% accuracy now in terms of getting it right but there’s some days where I post the tips here then I look and it’s “ugh I wrote 2014”. However to my credit at least I am not writing “December” instead of “January” anymore – did that a few times by accident this month.

Alright so the LPGA kicked off earlier this week. Unfortunately we missed out but we weren’t really planning anything much for it anyway. We do have more golf betting tips though so let’s get to them:

PGA Golf Betting Tips:

The tournament this week is the Waste Management Phoenix Open – possibly the classiest name in all of golf. Of course it’s the biggest tournament as well on the tour. I guess people really like their waste management.

This is the course that Phil Mickelson makes his own – he has won here 3 times already. However we think Phil is a changed man this year. He’s talking about skipping a few tournaments he usually loves to be with his family. That’s cool and all – but it’s the type of thinking and distraction that a golf pro doesn’t need.

You know why Tiger Woods was so bloody good all that time? Not just because of his skills, but because of where his mind was at. He wasn’t thinking about his family or anything like that – he was doing his own thing constantly. He didn’t have distractions.

We actually only have one betting tip for this tournament which is Hideki Matsuyama. At 25/1 we’ll be taking him E/W. Matsuyama was a disaster at the Sony Open – but prior to that, he has been killing it. He’s also taken a well deserved week off which we think he really needs. We think he is going to come back very focused and ready to take this tournament down.

European Tour Golf Betting Tips:

It’s the Dubai Desert Classic this week, and our first bet is Stephen Gallacher 25/1 E/W. Look – we know the odds of Gallacher doing it for the THIRD time in a row are astronomical – but this is a course that he loves. He won it twice in a row but don’t forget he also was in a playoff finish the year prior to that.

On top of that we watched him at the challenge last night and man – he looked GOOD. He looks confident and as well as the E/W bet, we may just throw a small bet on him being the winner of the tournament as well. Gallacher is on form, and we would love to see him complete the trifecta.

Slim pickings otherwise, but we’ll be on Bernd Weisberger at 30/1. Quite the price, right? But Bernd has been playing some really good golf since he finished the break. He’s came back and is playing very consistent golf – not erratic at all.

We think Bernd has what it takes to get a Top 5 finish.

Bet: For all golf bets above, we recommend betting them under the “Winner” category but betting E/W. Then bet at https://www.Bovada.lv where E/W means you get the top 5 places.
