This Sunday we have WWE Battleground which is the last big WWE event until SummerSlam. While that event is the biggest of the summer and should see a lot of betting action, WWE Battleground is feeling a bit left out. There are only two matches with betting odds currently and neither one of them are very good odds.

We’ll see what happens over the weekend and if some of the midcard matches get odds. We’d be very interested to see what the number is on the Usos vs. New Day for instance. That is one of the best feuds they have going today and it’ll be interesting to see where they go from here.

WWE Battleground Tips:

The top two matches on the card are the ones with odds right now. Those odds are:

  • Jinder Mahal (-400) vs Randy Orton (+250)
  • John Cena (-900) vs Rusev (+500)

It’s hard to see Jinder Mahal losing the title right now. His title reign has to be considered a big success and ending it now seems premature, especially with SummerSlam right around the corner. Mahal should get the win here and move on to something else. Randy Orton is in a weird place right now as well. He’s probably best served by losing here and turning heel down the road as he works so much better as a heel. Some people just have that natural hate ability.

The odds aren’t the best, but I will be placing a small bet on Rusev +500. Everything Rusev has been saying in this storyline is true. Where is the excitement for his return? Where is his media? He could be a star on the Smackdown brand and a win here would do a lot more for him than it would for Cena.

MLB Betting Tips:

With or without Carlos Correa, the Astros are the best team in the American League this season by a wide margin. Tonight, they get to face one of my very favorite pitchers to pick on in Ubaldo Jimenez. It should be hot and humid in Baltimore and the ball will fly. The Astros -140 bats will be hot tonight.

Last night, the humidity won out in Kansas City as the Royals put up 16 runs on the Tigers. We didn’t see that coming, but tonight we won’t make the same mistake. It’s expected to be another hot, humid day which is great for hitters. James Shields goes for the White Sox which is also great for hitters. Going over 11 runs in the Kansas City-White Sox game.

Last night, Seattle got one of the best pitching performances of the year from Felix Hernandez but were unable to score any runs. Severino pitched a gem and the Yankees bullpen lived up to the hype. Tonight, with CC Sabathia on the mound against young Andrew Moore, I’m thinking the bullpens will get a bit more work and the Seattle offense should be back at full strength. Taking Seattle +114 and over 9 runs in this one.
