June 25th, 2019 Women’s World Cup Tips

Some pretty solid and tight games in the Women’s World Cup the last couple of days.

We got unlucky with the BTTS bet on England vs Cameroon with Cameroon getting a goal chopped off after VAR. That was quite the game.

We won both our bets on France vs Brazil which was nice including the high odds pick of Brazil or Draw. Also had both teams to score there so that was perfect.

Copa America on Sunday was 1-1 for a slight profit as well. Had BTTS in Qatar vs Argentina which didn’t pan out but took Colombia to win at 2.80 odds.

Nice little profitable day. Lovely jubbly.

There is two games taking place in the knockout rounds of the Women’s World Cup tomorrow. We have Italy vs China and Netherlands vs Japan.

No Copa America games unfortunately so we will just be covering the two Women’s World Cup matches.

Let’s get to it:

Italy vs China Betting Tips:

China qualified as one of the best third place teams.

They had an interesting series of games. They lost 1-0 to Germany in a game where they had multiple amazing chances. They then barely beat South Africa 1-0 before getting a point against Spain.

Italy finished joint top of their group and won the group based on goal difference. They had that big 2-1 win over Australia, thumped Jamaica but lost to Brazil 1-0.

I enjoyed China in the first half of the Germany game but haven’t seen that sort of play since. They didn’t look good against Spain. Spain pressured them and if Italy do the same thing – put them under pressure – then it could be an easy enough day for the Italians. China just don’t look assured or comfortable on the ball.

We saw Italy press against Brazil and I think we will see more of that here.

I rate Italy quite highly to be honest. I backed them against Australia and they have did nothing but go up in my impressions of them.

The odds on Italy to qualify are just too low. I don’t exactly love backing a team to win in 90 minutes however at this stage in the tournament but that seems to be the only play to make.

Holland vs Japan Betting Tips:

The Netherlands had a perfect record in their group. They beat New Zealand 1-0 after an injury time goal, and then beat Cameroon 3-1. Impressively they beat Canada 2-1 as well in a fighting performance.

Japan finished second in their group. They were unlucky against Argentina who had a very tight defence. They then beat Scotland 2-1 with a solid performance before losing 2-0 to England.

Holland go into this one as big favourites. They are 1.40 to qualify over Japan.

I actually think Japan can produce an upset here. They are a pretty effective team and seem to work well. Holland I feel are a bit more erratic. That win over Canada a lot of people point to but honestly I don’t rate Canada at all – and remember I live there!
