You ever wonder what the golf odds would be like if Tiger Woods at his prime was playing with Rory McIllroy? That’s sort of what we are seeing in the LPGA. Stacy Lewis is on exceptional form at the moment with a 2nd, 3rd and 2nd place finish in the last 3. Lydia Ko is obviously just ridiculous as well.

So heading into the Kia Classic that’s what we’ve got – two very tight odds at the top. Lydia Ko is 9/2 and Stacy Lewis is 11/2.

It’s making the golf bloody tricky. What’s interesting is it isn’t affecting the odds as much as you’d expect either.

So anyway yeah – this week, we have the LPGA Kia Classic. It became part of the LPGA in 2010, and has been played at the Aviara Golf Club the last 2 years. Two random winners really with Anna Nordqvist last year, and Beatriz Recari the year prior. It’s of course a par 72, and should be a good event. Especially with Lewis and Ko battling it out. Going to make it hard to tip but let’s see what we can come up with:

LPGA Kia Classic Betting Tip #1: Anna Nordqvist

With all the talk of Lydia Ko and Stacy Lewis, we’re hoping Nordqvist has flown under the radar.

Now fair warning – she played at the 2013 Kia Classic and she was awful. No offense Anna if you’re reading! She finished at +6 and did not once go under par. Compare that to last year where even though she went over par on the first round, she ended up winning with an impressive -13.

Nordvist also came in 6th last week in the JTBC Founders Cup and looked great. Anna is one of those golfers where you can’t bank on them due to consistency. She could quite easily shoot 8 under par one day, then over par the next. But 25/1 is a good price for her. We just won’t bet a full unit is all.

LPGA Kia Classic Betting Tip #2: Cristie Kerr

Only a quarter unit bet on Kerr.

She is 66/1 odds. She has been on poor form this year. You have to go back to August for her last top 10 finish, and the last time she cracked the top 5 was in July. But she has a good history at this course. She came 5th last year and 3rd the year before. What’s notable about the 2013 finish is she had no real form going into it. We would not have tipped her in a million years yet she looked great and was 1 off the top finish.
