We have reached the 3/4s mark of the NBA season and we are getting a good idea of how good everyone is. The stats all say the same thing, the Bucks are historically great.

Milwaukee has a chance to get a 70-win season and would be only the third team ever to do so if they do. The Bucks have a 12.1 net rating which is the best in the NBA this season and 5.0 better than the next best team. They have the best defense in the NBA and everything about this team points to a historically great team. They are currently +225 to win the NBA championship this season.

The Lakers are currently second in Net Rating and second in championship futures odds at +275. However, the Clippers are right on their tail at +325. The Clippers are sixth in Net Rating at 6.1 and based on how this team has dealt with injuries (and added at the deadline), those odds seem fair.

Still a lot of basketball to be played before we get to The Finals though and a lot of things can happen. Let’s take a look at some of tonight’s games.

Memphis Grizzlies at Atlanta Hawks Betting Tips:

I have no idea what is going on with this line and it feels like a trap, but it’s too good to pass up. The Grizzlies are a playoff team in the Western Conference and the Hawks are a lottery team. Despite that, the Grizz are actually getting points here.

Looking at the injury sheet and the Hawks look far worse off than Memphis. Cam Reddish is listed as questionable, Dwayne Dedmon, DeAndre’ Bembry and Clint Capela are out. That leaves an undersized team with Trae Young jacking up a ton of shots. I just don’t see why they should be favored.

The Grizzlies have had a tough run of late with a strong schedule so they should really be licking their lips at this match-up. Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant are playing here and that’s all I need to know. I like the Grizzlies top to bottom better and they really need this win. Take the points.

Milwaukee Bucks at Miami Heat Betting Tips:

The Bucks are coming off a back-to-back with this being their third game in four nights, plus it’s at Miami. That would normally be a recipe for me to go against a team, but this is the Bucks we’re talking about. The schedule has turned out to be a recipe for them being a much smaller favorite than they ought to be.

Miami has a win against Milwaukee this year in Milwaukee too and I think they remember that one. They want to get it back. While Milwaukee also has a 8-0 record on the season on back-to-backs. This team does a good job of keeping their minutes low across the board which I think causes schedule hell like this to hurt them less.

I just don’t see it with Miami tonight. They are 4-7 over their past eleven and the Bucks are just on a completely other level than them. This is a tiny line in Milwaukee’s universe and I have to jump on it.
