Welcome to the free sports betting tips for Monday, November 28th, 2016.

Well, if you’re in the United States, this is the end of a Thanksgiving plethora of football, and what a weekend it’s been. We started it all off with the drama of the Vikings against the Lions, with the unfancied Lions continuing their run and continuing to shock almost everyone, including their own fans. How long until they revert to the Lions of old? Hopefully not at all, but hey, it’s the Lions, anything’s possible. Then the Cowboys got past the Redskins in a classic, and that was all just on Thursday! The Browns continued to be the Browns on Sunday and will just continue losing now surely until the end of the season. Is there any point in trying to win now? Even their fans are resigned to losing every week. Oakland continued their amazing run, too, getting past the Panthers in yet another classic. And tonight, we have the Packers taking on the Eagles in Monday Night Football, which should be a great end to a fantastic long weekend of football.

In the English Premiership, no real shocks other than Jose Mourinho being sent off in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with West Ham. Liverpool and Chelsea continued to trade places at the top, Arsenal looks imperious in front of goal and Manchester City managed to grind out another away win over seemingly lesser opposition. In Scotland, Celtic took the first major trophy of the season, beating Aberdeen 3-0 in the League Cup Final, and the Hoops will be disappointed if their season doesn’t end up with a treble, that’s for sure.

Now, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for November 28th, 2016.

Packers vs Eagles Betting Tip

It’s the old guard versus the new guard tonight, as we see Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers take on the Philadelphia Eagles, led by Carson Wentz, who has been a true star of the season. But don’t let Wentz’s meteoric rise fool you, the Eagles have built their season around one thing and one thing only – defence. They are fourth-best in the league in points conceded, and that’s the main reason they’re 4-0 at home. Sure, they’re 1-5 on the road, but they’re at home tonight against another side that struggles on the road, as the Packers are 1-4 and misfiring all over the place.

This is being hyped as Rodgers vs Wentz, but in reality it’s Rodgers against a tight defence, and it just hasn’t been Rodgers’ season this year. I can’t see that changing against an Eagles side full of confidence at home. The other thing to note is that both sides are struggling with injuries to key parts of the team, and the Green Bay defence will be weaker, while the Eagles’ running game is also not at full strength. So this plays into the hands of Wentz, surely? If he can find the form he had the start of the season, the Eagles could run away with it, but if he shows the form of late, it could be close. But could it be 4 points close? Not for me. The Packers give up too many points on the road, while the Eagles just don’t give many away. Eagles -4 is the play here, and as long as their defence sticks to its job, it should be comfortable.
